I might be wrong but the post above by Thndr is more likely to be a joke as opposed to the real knees of Chom, although it would be nice if that could confirmedSigns aren't good for him. Think we need to target a key forward this offseason, whether that's through the draft or trade/free agency. Cannot be relying on him to get healthy and fill that other key forward spot
we should be drafting one anyway regardless, 2kpf on a list ain't enough.Signs aren't good for him. Think we need to target a key forward this offseason, whether that's through the draft or trade/free agency. Cannot be relying on him to get healthy and fill that other key forward spot
Anyone been down at training this week se how Chom has been tracking?
I'm a bit torn. We also have Edwards who is very young and raw. He seems a likely more forward type in a 3-4 years. I'm not sure we want another 18 year old KPF on our list, possibly we would be better placed doing that in another year or so. Realistically we need backup in that 20-23 age group rather than another raw kid. Unless we pull off the mother of all poaching jobs though we'll be going to the draft for this need.we should be drafting one anyway regardless, 2kpf on a list ain't enough.
As for his knee it was a pretty bruising game against Frankston, probably just a knock of knees in the cold air.
We definitely need a couple developing big boys at either end. Melbourne's list is flush with talls at either end of the ground. Our list profile is a bit off synch, lots of mids and flanks but not much in the way of future prospects in other spots.I'm a bit torn. We also have Edwards who is very young and raw. I agree we need more KPP's but you can only take what is there talent wise. No point just recruiting KPP's if we don't rate them, we also don't want them all the same age coming through. I could see taking one this year though if the talent is there and then more again in the next couple of years to start to spread the ages a little. A 3-4 year age gap for KP players is the sweet spot.Agree I think we should be carrying another developing KPF and KPD on the list right now.
Time flies and McKay and Larkey are entering their mid 20s. There need to be players coming who will either complement or replace them in a few years.
Of course not, we grab ones we like the look of coming up. But we do need some developing, 5 years behind larkey and 3 behind comben is a perfect spread. Likewise 6 years behind McKay. Walker 29/30, Corr 27, McKay 24, McGuiness 22 is okay. Was better with Taz this time last year.A 3-4 year age gap for KP players is the sweet spot.
Our KP profile is a plane crash.
I think so too. 2 over the next 2 years (however that fits with talent) and ideally we pick up at least 1 extra mature KPP in their prime at the same time (easier said than done I know). If we could bring in a good 23-27 year old that would be ideal to suit the list. But this year and next year would be a good time to draft KPPs at both ends of the ground. Maybe 2 back, one forward.
Fully expecting him to come in with a dodgy knee, kick 5 with one leg, take a screamer, lay 10 tackles and take 15 contested marks.
Not hard imo.
Will probably develop appendicitis in the third. Then cops a calf bruise from a misdirected drink-bottle while walking off the ground.
Goes in for scans and requires ankle reconstruction.
Is that before or after the discovery of necrotizing fasciitis on his upper arm? Will probably develop appendicitis in the third.
