I'll tell you, considering how few players we have that are even average, Hardwick must be a genius to have reached finals 3 years running!

Every team has average players .... most AFL experts agree that we have had five elite players in recent years - Cotchin, Deledio, Martin, Rance and Riewoldt.
Coincidence that some of them have been average to poor in those three finals and we've lost .. me thinks not!
We do haqve more than five good to excellent players, but we do have a lot of ordinary ones.

A mere two picks in the draft separate Tambling and Conca and I can tell you the guy at number four, who has copped by far and away the most criticism of anyone at Tigerland in the last decade outside Terry Wallace has far outplayed the bloke currently wearing #30.

Conca flying for two average games in 2012 /13 barely did this and hardly playing since .
I think Lambert has him covered for speed . They're both c to D graders IMO and taking us nowhere .
Time to let go and grow.

Lambert is more resilient. Conca = depth at best and never going to be a B+ player.

As we draft and recruit each year it's guys like these two that will find VFL is there regular gig.

The knock on Reece has always been he is lazy ... and as has been reported on here and other let's say more credible sites etc. is that Reece has not exactly aided his own recovery or attempts to get said body right.

I am loather to say news as that will stir up the masses.
I can say people "inside our four walls" have indicated he does not work hard enough and has been lazy in recovery!

Tambling should have been Capuanoed after the Centenary game humiliation by Carlton. He did not try that day, and should have been sacked before what would have been a totally unnecessary shower. I was a supporter of his up until then, but that was the most disgraceful performance I've seen by a Richmond player, and that's saying something! Of course, he wasn't even dropped.

Fair enough if you have the inside word.

If its his own dedication to recovery thats causing the hamstring reoccurances then he will only have himself to blame if his career fails. I struggle to understand that mindset if true.

Easy to understand at the never ending gravy train that is the RFC where the slightest mention of 'potential' sees you settle in for a minimum five year stay.

Haha oh yea there are players in that category. I just feel reece has the tools and shown he can be better than the posts, tamblings and Vickerys of our drafting history. If he can stay fit, its only a positive for us.

And better to bank on him regaining fitness and form (on what should be a very basic 2 year draftee esq contract!) Than the pick 80 plus in the draft we wouldve used.

Nope, can't agree with this, I'm no fan of Conca but Conca has far outplayed and proven to be a better footballer than tambling, only have to look at stats and he wins most categories from 50 less games.
