I would only trade Conca for pick 4 or above. To trade him for anything less than pick 6 would make me crook.

Would be nice to keep him for depth. Guess it depends who else we get in. good luck to him if he's getting offered a three year deal on good coin, can't blame him.
If they lose gaff they might trade for him so as not to affect their compoOnce the eagles finish their finals campaign, they will be coming hard for Conca too.
Our 18 - 26 ranked guys will be in demand, the ones not signed up will be offered the red carpet treatment by rival Clubs.

He's a serious injury away from retirement. If he gets offered more security then we are prepared to offer you couldnt blame him.Grimes is AA quality now that he's had a good run with injuries. Conca could be a near-AA quality inside mid for the next few years in the best team in the league, and respected by all in a perennial top 2 team.
Surely that's worth a pay cut to him?
Free agent , no dealWould be fantastic if West Coast were in the play, We could atleast get a 3rd rounder for him

I want pick 1 for Conca. Gun.
Isn't he restricted? Same draft as Tom Lynch.conca is an unrestricted free agent.
He can walk anywhere he wants and we get zilch
Miles Lloyd Conca all stayed to taste the esprit de corps Balmey and Cotch created. They did not want to leave for moolah or a guranteed spot in the 16-25bubble spot of mere-mortal teams.Once the eagles finish their finals campaign, they will be coming hard for Conca too.

now?Grimes is AA quality now
He's not in the ten highest paid players at the club (top 25%) so is unrestricted.Isn't he restricted? Same draft as Tom Lynch.
the ballast lifts the players. The scaffolding that is the team-playing harmony lifts merely average players to top 100 AFL players. I think this harmony is no more than a fluke. It depended on Griffiths removal, and Lids leaving. And at his best, Lids was top30 AFL. So how can you remove a piece who is ranked so high as an individual, yet improve? If Conca goes, he is not a massive loss he is a decent defensive midfielder he reminds me bit like Devon Smith but no where near as good.

the team alchemy is accident. WHAT is not accident, is the coaches and back-office staff (see Balmey and Benny) ability to maintain the momentum. Beveridge struck out when I was sucked into thinking he was a genius. No, but if there is any club genius, it is the team back office marrying all to this accident and carrying the momentum through.
Before you stand up and claim credit for the club and say it was coaching genius and the players. The counter-factual is Footscray, there are 18 individual clubs, and if Ablett was committed to GC, they would have been in finals multiple years versus a basket case. The counter-factual, one team in the 18 needs to win, but multiple teams are legitimate threats, and deserve flags, but only one finds the right form at the right time, and has luck not having injuries that would derail a finals campaign.
Conca and Bellis wont be a major loss if they go to St Kilda or Perth. The team can cover. In fact, too much depth can be a hindrance as well as a benefit.
If Conca goes, he is not a massive loss he is a decent defensive midfielder he reminds me bit like Devon Smith but no where near as good.
How is he leaving, have I missed something or are winding us up. He may well leave if he is dropped this or next week, but until then no way is he leaving. (Did I just fall into the trap.)So Conca is leaving.
You have to love putting so much time and effort into an injury prone player then when they finally get on the park they decide to leave.
Disappointed that he isn't repaying the faith we put in him, but I've never really seen him as best 22 anyway.
