My 15 yr old daughter has just completed the 'Relayfor life' at Murrumbeena this morning (24hrs) and I got a text saying there's a North player doing some drills on the oval.She couldn't tell me who it was.

Well obviously it was Tommy and let's just say he don't look much like the dude in the photo. Geebus he's a fair sized unit now. Anywho he told me he spent 35 weeks on crutches this past year!.

And is now well over his injured foot is fighting fit and looking at a huge pre-season and wants senior action in 2013. Also when I asked him what round he'd slot his 100th goal, he didn't say he wouldn't:thumbsu:
 
Thanks for your account NN. Here is an interview from Tom back in April, even looking developed at this stage. I havn't talked about this (ASAI can remember) but I spoke to Tom at the first open day after last years draft. He said (perhaps a bit embarrased) that he had "never really done weights". I get the feeling this guy would have a pretty high ceiling as far as body mass goes;) . He also said he was 195cm and hoping to squeeze out a couple more cms.
 
Curran is almost forgotten.He's a big kid and I for one reckon he can offer us something both back and forwards as the third in both backs and forward . Any one got any news on his foot problem.

Kid was drafted not be talked about for three years.
 
i like his one grab marking for a 195cm+ kid,robbie tarrant could take a leaf out of his book,has a very big upside and i hope he debuts next year and has an injury free season,
 
His new foot is coming along nicely. He should be ready to walk on it by mid-season.:p
 
Doesn't matter how good he is as he is BFNAAK.

Is he going to Utah this year? Is he doing ALL the training with the rest of the boys? If it's yes and yes we could have an ''official how many goals will Cuzza kick in 2013'' thread to amuse us over the summer?

Based on what? 12 months of not watching him play?

No one can have a definitive opinion on him yet. It's simply too early. Anyone who does is a nuffy who should be perma banned.

Geebus he had a serious foot injury, which was serious. Seriously I feel you're wrong by suggesting he's injury prone. Also he didn't look injuried last Sunday, actually was running around like a Gazalle. Had a steely look in his eye when I asked what the plan was for next season. His look was that 'steely' I'd almost nickname him 'Dan'.

This is a seriously good post, NN and it's great to hear that he's upright. Where was he running around like a gazelle? Not some hotel carpark, I hope.
 
I haven't forgotten about him but I keep thinking about his father who was a good player but had good players to work off. I'm not sold that he should be our CHF. Maybe our HFF. If the others come on and he does too he'd be fantastic on what I've seen, minus the moon boot.

Actually it was two weeks ago I'm a week behind, but for me that means I'm catching the pack. Anywho it was at the Murrumbeena oval he was with the Oakleigh Chargers who'd turned up to support the Relay for life.

So had a bit of a chat and sat back and watched him do some drills etc. He moves smooth, I'm tellin' ya. And Gazelle with an 'e' would have been better.

He doesn't lack confidence either which we all know is important when trying to be successful in an elite enviroment.

well it is good to hear he is running around but if he ready to go and full fit i dont think he be geting into the side because there alot of other players will be geting a game before him guys like arron black, majak daw, wii siewkodikis i cant spell his last name right lol, brad mckenzie, and ben mabon tom will have to show alot in the vfl next year to get into the side there going to be alot of players missing out on games sorry to say
