“Can’t kick”![]()
It’s been manifested by a 2 minute highlights video that shows a couple of his explosive passages when he played midfield, where he rushes the kick under pressure. Then bigfooty ran with it.“Can’t kick”![]()

Orange Peanut imagineKind of reminds me of what Gareth Bale would play like if he played footy.
Rangy, skilled and can break a game open.
Reckon he'd pick it up pretty quickly too.Orange Peanut imagine
His kicking style is so similar to a previously listed north player in Paul Ahern. Little bit higher ball drop but it’s a beautiful action and like Ahern, he can stab those 30-40m flatter bullets but he can also kick 55m with relative ease.
The thing that still stands out to me the most of his agility for a guy his size, he will turn players inside out. Which is incredible for someone of his height and build
Good point, he has that same high horizontal ball drop.
He is going to fluff a kick here or there, I’ve compared his kicking to LMAC, but it’s actually probably better, he doesn’t try to bite off more than he can chew like Luke does often
Might be a good chance as a subIs he a sneaky chance if Pérez and Bonar aren’t 100% ?

If you're basing his odds on those guys being available he's a 100% lock.

True!!
I don’t currently have Bonar or a Pérez in my best 22 or top 25 but yes those two are very unlucky with injuries!
I guess I’m think Goater may only be a backline injury or 2 away now, rather than 3 or 4
the current best back six looks something like:
Ziebell McKay Turner
Hall Corr Perez
Perez probably switches out for Walker if we need a third tall or McDonald if he goes back there.
who do you put in that spot?Perez has played a couple of ok games in 3 years.
I fail to see how anyone can put him in a back 6 with anything other than blind optimism.
who do you put in that spot?
At present our back 6 is
Turner Mckay ziebell
Hall Corr McDonald
With walker as the extra as needed.
Goater and Perez will get chances this year. The Burger Man probably not strong enough to get a go this year.
I think Perez shows promise, or at least showed it back when shaw was still coaching. But this obsession people seem to have about him even being in the convo for round 1, I just don’t understand given complete lack of playing football for 18 months.
Yeah, not sure if maintaining that aged cared home for limited footballers will be beneficial for us in three years when we're trying to contend. There is reasonable expectation they rotate young players through the defence consistent with our rebuild.
If it ain't Perez it better be Goater or Atu etc.
so it's the exact same back 6 i listed? who plays in mcdonald's spot if he gets the wingman role again? At present our back 6 is
Turner Mckay ziebell
Hall Corr McDonald
With walker as the extra as needed.
