If it adds to the fuel and justifies his trip - I saw him chaperone his partner at a recent run event, he was wearing shorts and ****kkkk me, the poor guys calves were non-existent. So long post injury I thought was strange.
He looked like that before he was injured. Sposed to be really fast too.

The trip to Qatar was a big success, they've identified a few minor issues with his running gait (most likely due to his Achilles surgery) and some imbalances in his legs. Best thing is they've got short term, medium term and long term strategy to fix the issues.

The Goat had been struggling a bit mentally with the injury setbacks, but has renewed confidence that he'll not only get his body right but be able to improve and get it to a high level so that he can reach his potential.

Fingers crossed that he can put all of the injury concerns behind him now.

Wow that's great info and such good news. Is there any indication of his timeline/involvement in preseason?

I'll be crossing more than my fingers, old boy.

It seems like half our young recruits go through substantial physical rehabilitation before they can set foot on a footy field. And there have been plenty of casualties along the way.

We are cursed…. or incompetent.

Been very unlucky across the journey too.

Goater's achilles injury was very rare for a kid his age. George very unlucky with his injuries too.

Then we have others who were unprofessional with their rehab like Garner.

Then there were others who were completely mismanaged like Will Walker.

Best news of the Trade Period.

WW harshly remembered as a draft flop. Was ascending quickly and showed plenty in his senior appearances before an 8 week injury turned into a career ending one and Will walking with a limp.
Incompetence of the highest order.

11 touches & a point on debut
11 touches & 2.2 the week after
8 touches and a goal the week after that
9 touches and 1.2 in a half against Adelaide, does his PCL, never heard from again

He was 187 & 82 when he came into the club. If he was healthy he'd be into his eighth season next year, probably with ~140-160 games under his belt as a high half forward/midfielder

He's as big a loss as we've had. Prototype midfielder size. Looked like he could actually put on weight. Soccer background, spatial awareness out the arseh*le.

Him and ****ing EVW. There's our Tom Stewart, James Sicily, third tall roaming around the backline clunking them through positioning. Instead he's a wealth management consultant with post nominals because he got pushed into a post against Sydney and did his PCL and then did his ACL game one of his return. Just cruel. Would be a 200 game, established and seasoned leader of the backline. Probably captain

Very bright lad too.

Another one for the 2010s+ graveyard.

My mate played against him a year or so ago. He was playing for Hampton Rovers ressies in the VAFA. Not a high grade too. Just sad really.

Played 5 or 6 games for the seniors this year but another year cruelled by hamstring and knee injuries. Feel for the kid.

Just goes to show how many things have to go right for these talented kids to reach their potential.

I remember the scout reports back then on Walker - "he's tracking like Bontompelli". Unfortunately not his career, just how much time he spends in Cash Converters.
