chad we know you stalk him but we don't need running commentary on his whereabouts

but i guess you can inform us of his vfl performances whenever there is a clash with the afl game

Isn't there a time trial you should be parsing?

No, but I am very interested in why we offer him 12 month deals, when others get given the world.
And I'm not engaging in over the top behaviors anymore from either side of the fence. Better things to do.
Toby at times last season played quite well, and at times rather shit.
As I'm backing in the raft of coaching changes, I expect this to benefit not only Toby but the whole squad. A better set up should see less pressure in our backline, which should mean it's easier for that lot.

I'll say it again, we're better than 16th. It has to be down to our set up and strategy, and probably the guys in the backline lol

Daniel, Corr, Logue, Comben- yuck collectively

McDonald Logue Pink Hardeman Comben Goater Archer and Corr over Daniel nee Dinkers.
Pink's a depth player really.

At this point anyway, he could develop a bit more and become a genuine starting backman. i doubt he'd leave any stone unturned. His biggest asset is his attitude, which is top level, exemplary.

He wouldn't be in our 2018 backline (which didn't make finals) if you transported him back in time now tho. (Mind you Taz, Hunter and Maj is a very good backline, probably deserved to play finals.) Its probably a combination of keeping him hungry and being able to drop him next year if we get better options available to us.

looks like he’s been working hard. If he can climb a couple more rungs and become an average defender i’ll be content with him being future depth. Based on what I have seen if he doesn’t improve on 2025 then I think he’ll be doneski
I think Corr goes end of this year given his age. Then it's one of Pink or Logue likely gone end of next year.
That gives you 12-24 months cover whilst you get Blake physically ready.
If any of the young defenders are ready to take the reigns, then the older guys become VFL depth.
If you were able to bring in someone like Butts via trade/FA, then you could cut Pink/Logue and Corr this year.
I guess hypothetically you could draft someone like a Tate Hodgson and cut Pink/Logue this year, but I suspect we'd be looking at key forwards and aren't likely to have many more picks unless we have some trades.

I’ll be cutting both if the output doesn’t change. The coaches also have higher opinions of Corr than anyone else. According to Jesse on the hashtag pod, Corr is a started defender in the eyes of NMFC

Still need to keep some depth around if you can't get anyone via trade/FA.
I'd understand coaches thinking Corr is the better 1v1 defender, but he's 31 years old.
I'd be surprised if he goes around again.
But if we need someone to have a joke with Van Rooyen during preseason when he's kicked a few, Corr is the one.

Its an interesting pod and it left me thinking this team is going to track forward on “we hope these 20 year olds take us forward”

Corr cant play round 1.

It has to be logue, pink, comben even though it disgusts me to say its our best back 3

Arch, goater, hardeman. That should be the starting back 6
