All we need is to get Mick on board and we're a certainty for next year...

Who are those guys?

I was having abit of fun, when people post shite, sometimes i prefer to jest abit rather then getting into a massive debate. Your entitled to your opinion, but from my point of view, it seems either extremely uneducated,or your just another,"everything is buckleys fault" poster. If you followed our club at all over last few yrs, you'd know bucks has done everything to help and back up cloke. To blame bucks for clokes form is utterly ridiculous.
Spot on.
Travis has himself and only unselfish to be the player he should be.
His form is so long past, no amount of hand holding by Nathan cooing sweet nothings has or would make any difference

I don't necessarily disagree TD but Cloke is not the root of our problems. That's the point I was making.

Cloke is a scapegoat for Buckley.
Clokes form is not a problem?
Scapegoat?
Maybe Travis needs to observe Goldsacks game sat night.
Travis can use his tank, take lots of marks, contest, harass, impose himself etc etc
Become a dominant big man.
Nothing to do with Buckley, at this stage of his career if he was doing the same at hawthorn you think Clarkson would be tolerating such form lapses?

I feel sorry for trav, the emergence of our young superstar, Darcy Moore, has made him much more accountable for his actions.

I love the big fella, but, when you see what the best young big man we've had since Peter McKenna does most weeks, Travs performances are clearly not what they should be. Yes, we give him poor delivery, but he doesn't have the repeat efforts and and hunger that Darcy does.

Young Darcy has a great presence and coolness about him.

Hopefully trav can realise that, with Darcy in the team, he has a great opportunity to become the dominant number 2 in our coward 50 - this is where he needs to evolve and use some footy smarts. No longer number one and should have a new found freedom while we have the superstar getting getting much more attention.

"Of course he [Cloke] will [be at Collingwood next year] ... why wouldn't he be?" Balme told SEN.

"We're committed to him ... He has a contract and we're happy with the contract.

"[Is] everyone at every club playing in the VFL team leaving their club next year?

"It's not political, it's a selection decision."

"Travis has had a wonderful time at the football club and no one is more upset than he is about the fact that he isn't playing quite as well as he can."

"James Aish will either be playing at the Lions or he'll be going into the draft, he won't be traded, that I can guarantee you," Matthews said.

I'm still yet to see one decent argument on here why Cloke's fall from grace is Buckley's fault. It's almost become like a form of Tourretts to just throw his name in when someone isn't happy.

His fall from grace followed the glove ban and at the same time the hype over how good a contested beast he was, he started leading less and wrestling more which slowly led to a more lazy game style.

Agree.
As if Clarkson would be playing the Cloke we've seen.
It's silly too this whole "everything is Buckleys fault" syndrome.
Reason?
Because if there are legitimate criticisms of Nathan and genuine articulated reasons of his faults, fine state those.
But once everything a by anything is just thrown in, it belittles the argument and can make the reader start to think, the poster is not really relevant.
That's a shame actually, because measured discussion is a good thing.
I mean I saw one regular poster (never posted anything positive that I've ever seen, by the way) say Buckley destroyeD Chris Dawes. Nothing against Fawes but he was and is a good basic footballer, nothing more in my view.
That's how silly it gets sometimes.

Apart from stkilda rolling the dice on the wada appeal and losing, it was a very fair deal.

They wouldn't of lost.

Not sure he is worth pick 5 either.

Up and down form line at 23 with known drug issues on top of the WADA ban...

Saints low PSD pick on top of that his contract is invariably deemed nul and void due to the doping saga and becomes and DFA if saints wanted to push the issue.

Carlisle will prove to be very good for StKilda. The WADA ban came after they recruited him and very few people saw that coming.

Anyway we agree to disagree.

Cloke will be what hes worth and not a penny more. I dont agree that we somehow should hold out for a better deal
He is worth a pick in the teens and a 2nd rnd downgrade

He'll be a good player not sure top 5 pick good.

Many who weren't stupid knew the ban was coming as Essendon had already been caught red handed, it was only Essendons PR campaign that fooled some into thinking they were innocent and got away with it.

Regardless I think as long as there are multiple clubs vying for Cloke then we can afford to raise our asking price a little, talks of 4th round picks is ridiculously underselling him even in his slump.

No point taking the 1st offer that comes our way just to wipe our hands of him. To the right team I think we can do a lot better then 3rd and 4th round picks.

I've been following this club for a long time, and if you knew anything about me you'd know I've been a staunch supporter of Buckley until recently. If you weren't a conceited knob you wouldn't say I'm "uneducated" for having an opposing opinion. If you have been following the club for the past few years you'd know that Buckley is on record as saying that he believes players should all be self motivated. If you were educated you'd know that this is not the case for all players and finding ways to motivate them is a key function of the coach, one which Buckley has clearly failed at performing with Cloke.

Does he qualify? I thought there was a restriction on players who have played "X" amount of AFL games in a season??

Will as long as he stays in the VFL for rest of the Season

He was very vocal on the field today, directing Gault and others,

Well done Clokey, you didn't drop your head and sook.:thumbsu:

Can't really imagine he will not be with us next year.

I don't blame Bucks for everything bad at Collingwood but.......yes I have a but Cloke leaving will be Bucks decision ultimately.

Being dropped three times in a year for a Premiership Player is unheard of.......the writing is on the wall so to speak.

What I don't want to see is Moore forced to be the "only" focal point before he is physically ready.

Sadly he is not part of the Future. So unless he wants to play in the VFL most Weeks then He will leave
