I keep hearing he will be good at the dogs to take some heat off Boyd, or at Hawks to replace Roughy and help Sicily development. It's not like we have a young developing key forward who needs protection for a year or two.
We hav two actually. Moore and cox

You don't have to know, just an opinion.
I don’t think the 1 yr extension/ holding off is going to fly at all given the circumstances of both club and player. Apparently you think it should have played out that way and I wonder why you would say that.

FFS mate! It's quite simple, I don't think we should trade him. At this point in time I have not consider contract options beyond 2017.

Clear enough for you?

PicaBoo we are in the box seat with Cloke. IMO we make him play next year. I don't think whatever we get for him will allow us to get that second forward we must have to accompany Moore. He has no choice but to play well next year........the Clokes signed the contract four years ago lets make them honour it.

P.S I believe you are a closet Cloke fan I am sure I saw a Cloke badge on you yesterday at the VFL. :p

Understood but stuffing up what could've been to try put us in a better position now hasn't worked. We sacrificed them for this rubbish.

The club has made some mistakes but moving on players has not been one of them. If fact it's been successful to a level we would never have imagined.

Wellingham - went downhill
Dawes - went downhill
Daisy - disaster at Carlton
Didak - finished
Jolly -finished
O'brien - didn't improve/went downhill
Kennedy - hasn't improved
Shaw- Been brilliant but we still won the trade with Adams who will be our next captain & 6 extra seasons in him.
Beams- We didn't want to lose this guy but as it happens he's been really unlucky at Brisbane and at this stage we are well in front in the trade.

Our problem has been the recruiting of the replacements, not the moving on of the dead wood.

It was an weekend for coming out :)
Love the big man when he is on song. That is twice this year already he done this. What more could we want with our season almost gone
Time is indeed not on Travis side and it is his gamble if he stays. Can he get back to form. Who will coach us in 2018 and will he want Travis and for how long. I doubt the Clokes want to wait till the end of contract to find out
We can bundle picks on the other hand And all bits help.
If we can get a 2nd fwd, rather sooner then later.

Serious question, going forward you can have Grundy, Adams & Varcoe or Wellingham, Shaw & O'Brien, which would you choose?
Its very likely Grundy Adams and Varcoe could have been obtained with out giving up Shaw, Lumumba and Wellingham.

I think a bit of honesty would go a long way. If he is required he should be told straight up and also told why he should remain in the vfl side for the remainder of this year. It's not hard to be honest

i agree with you. They keep things from Travis and then tell them to Jmac... it's clearly unfair..

Don't be a dick again Mark.

i haven't heard anyone... not one ....person ask Chris Scott whether the Cats would have a better premiership chance with James Kelly, Steve Johnson, Matthew Stokes, Taylor Hunt, Travis Varcoe...... all of which are playing AFL this year

Are they top Four tonight?

Those players mentioned didn't go downhill before they left, only Dawes and that's because he lost confidence. He worked well in part of a team that's what it showed. The team breaking up made us weaker. Fact.
Forget what they have done at other clubs the fact is as a team they were gelling.

Got a dynasty out of those players.

I could argue this.
Developing teams might have a clean out for a year. Maybe 2.
When you offload too many personalities it can hurt the core and loyalty of the playing group.
Take Dane Beams. He got the shits up when Heater was forcibly removed and sent to GWS.
Dawes hasn't set the world on fire but was a buddy of Clokes. Chris Dawes had previously knocked back big money to leave the Pies and chose to stay.(this is good for culture)
Jolly did act like a spoilt girl towards the end. Pity. I could have seen a role for him as a rucks mentor or coach given to fast track our two young ruckmen.(Witts/Grundy)

Just my two cents.
We moved on a large amount of players in the past 5 years.

Seriously Mark, give it a rest. I've haven't once said that I have any inside information about Cloke. I have made it very clear that my posts represent my own opinion. Disagree with them by all means but there is no need to keep up this personal vendetta you seem to have developed.

I'm too young for McKenna, so without a doubt he's been the best Collingwood tall forward that I've seen - way above the Roccas and BT.

I love Trav... BT a bit before my time... but the big Sav was impressive. Unsure I would call Trav the best forward out of the three.

Sav - 748 (Ave 2.9)
BT - 527 (Ave 3.8)
Trav - 439 (Ave 1.8)

iggy pop said it all..

For those interested, Chris Tarrant is actually back at the club in some sort of non-footballing capacity, as of a couple of months ago. Has nothing but positive things to say about the club. Ben Johnson is also back.

Source: I had a beer with him the other night

He also has a baby girl on the way.....first child.

Great Collingwood man!
