Thanks mate.
Well they got smashed.

I was thinking it was MacMillan. IMO Thompson is a bad match up for him

I'm not sure who JMac was on, or what he was doing. Probably was on him for a bit too. It seemed like Gunston did most his damage on Thompson. Was to smart for him on the lead.

I think at one stage he was on Brad Hill. Hill slaughtered him though.

How exactly was he infinitely worse?
He got smashed one on one, he coasted behind ball carriers, he didn't run to give players options, he turned it over virtually every time he got it, he looked lazy and dis-interested!!! He is probably my fave player, and I watch him even when he doesn't have the ball and he was the worst for us last night!!!

I like Jamie.

He was crap last night.

Tried to create, turned it over.

Laid a few tackles, got absolutely slaughtered by whoever he was responsible for (Gunston/Breust).

Absolutely crap.
Indeed and it was cringe worthy seeing macmillan play as the loose man in the 2nd quarter compared to the Hawks loose man Birchall/hodge/Burgoyne.
Their loose man hit targets and provided intercept marks and ours didn't

He has been average for 18 months.

Scott happy to have him in the side for his run and flair which he only shows once a month! Too many sub 15 possession games, should be made to work for it in the VFL

Yeah i'm not against Atley being dropped.

One or two fantastic highlights a game doesn't cut it when the rest is rubbish. He is good defensively but we have other players who are also.

As for JMac he is very lucky to he picked and as usual, makes stupid decision after stupid decision as his skills don't match what he is trying to do.

He will play this week though, and to be fair he wasn't our worst.

Will hold his spot, and rightly so!!!
Based on what? That's the problem with this club, mediocre and crap performances are rewarded with games and good performances by young players are rewarded by being dropped.

Brad has his favourites and it will be to the detriment of this list growing and improving.

Too many McMillan types in this team.

And JMac is the worst of them all. Not enough strings in his bow.

But Mr Undroppable is saved by Mr Nice Guy and the 7 man Leadership Group.

They will write stories about this one day. Stephen King Horror Stories.

I agree that Atley is not at his best but in a side desperate for run, we can't afford to drop him.

Yeah fair point mate.

I think he "deserves" to be dropped on form, but realistically we can't as you say as it only makes us worse.

Based on it actually not being a crap performance... I have watched it 3 times now, and I just do not understand what you saw....

This is really getting boring....

Did not deserve to come straight back in.

Was pox.

How he still hasn't learnt to not over commit to one side when tackling is truly mind boggling.

Yeah, that really shits me.

He goes hard in and then sidestepped so easily, to then be left exposed and does nothing but dive hard and it appears like maximum effort and well done JMac.

Watch Hawks/PA/Freo/Syd or even Bulldogs this season. They attack, wait if required, go for hips and hit hard and stay in contest.

It needs to stop, especially for a so-called leader. I'm happy enough for him to play this week as we had worse, but he needs to get better and fast.

Happened once, and happened because he was a one against three with NO support and was trying to cover the angle... Gee the overreactions on the "whipping boys" is hilarious!!! Mason Wood missed twice the tackles, turned over the ball twice the amount, and shit himself when he didn't want to take responsibility to kick it out of the backline and HANDBALLED to a stationary unsuspecting Thompson, who duly fumbled and gave away a free... But we all love Mase and his potential!!!!

I saw a potato! Missed tackles, turnovers, basic skill errors and piss poor accountability. Wasn't the worst on ground, but bloody close to it. The worst thing is that he does this shit week in week out and is rewarded with games, yet younger players actually do something but are the first dropped.

Dumont must be puzzled as to why he was dropped to bring in a hack.

Do you watch football???
Last season through round 3 he was outstanding and I believe leading the bnf. Breaks his leg, plays VFL.... Dominates gets back in the ones plays a great game against the cheats, pings his hammy against the cats. Round one this year everyone got smoked. First game back against the reigning premiers and was FAR FROM BAD!!!!! Where are these gifted games????

I honestly could name 10 players last night that had their colours lowered more than JMac!!!

Wood has played 5 games.

Macmillan has played 80. He's in the leadership group because he knows everyone's role inside out.

His footballing ability is mediocre.

We don't have any good young players who are ready ...Dumont might be good enough for AFL, might not be, we don't know yet. Other than that, new draftees miles away yet ... I don't think BS has favourites, at least can't think of one who is keeping someone else out.
