I'm happy to see him delisted.

He has claims to be the worst player ever drafted, and our list balance was way out of whack with all these talls. Not to mention we kept him around for 5 years when it was obvious to anyone with eyes 2 years ago that he was no good.

Nothing personal, but I'm glad to see the back of him.

Saying he's the worst player every drafted is such hyperbole and a massive over reaction, also he was never drafted, so you are already wrong.

There are players delisted every year who never get an AFL game, Carlton delisted Lemmey this week who was seen by many as a 2nd round pick in his draft year, he slipped to Pick 47 and never got selected for the AFL team. He would be considered a far bigger bust than someone like Colina who was always a massive long shot given he was not even playing AFL when we signed him up.

He was a free hit, so to be happy that a free hit didn't pay off is such a bizarre attitude and a reflection on you more than anything.

Did you ever watch Colina play VFL? He is the worst player I've ever seen at the level, so no its not a stretch to say he is the worst ever AFL listed player.

Get off your high horse son, nothing wrong with wanting terrible footy players off the list.

Threads like this just show me that some people here seem to relish in the failures of players, being happy to see someone get delisted.
He was a free list spot, unless we have another long shot project we want to take on from outside the AFL, who will go through the same development challenges Mate did, then we cannot replace him with another player.

Glad he had a crack, which is a lot more than some of the keyboard warriors taking cheap shots on this forum.

I’m disappointed the club didn’t pull the pin much sooner as it was very clear he was not going to make it 2 years ago. It’s a waste of time, money and resources. This is a club with its hand out for contributions right now, telling us every dollar matters. He was a liability in the VFL side and took game time and opportunity off those more likely to benefit from it.

None of that is his fault and he could only give his best crack, the club should have made the call. This is supposedly elite sport.

Category B rookies have their entire salary excluded from the AFL salary cap, so who gives a shit
Free list spot, no impact to the salaries of other players and it's not like he was on big bucks either
