MC will love our back-line even more now!
Henderson, Taylor, Lonergan, Kolodjashnij, Stewart, Mackie... the height![]()
Dan.. Stewart does not really group well with those names. He is 190cm
He does play tall ...just not that tall.I was kidding mate![]()
I think he's a bit like Scarlet post 2007. No comment about talent but in terms of versatility and ability to play small/tall. Scarlett was no longer a genuine KPP by then.
I get the feeling the cats shop is going to make a lot of merch money out of stewart's family and friends.

And hopefully we rookie draft the kid on the far right in the white t shirt.
Will Sexton
The older brigade might have gone with Jimmy...
Go Catters
So what type of player us he? Intercept defender? Lock down type? Running type?
Also we can't fit 9 guys in the back 6.
I feel like he gives us so many more options as to how we set up in the future. Not only does he provide depth incase of injuries but his inclusion will also allow us to go a bit smaller down back if we want to. It also allows us to play Hendo or Taylor forward if that's where one of them is required so his inclusion could very well have a positive domino effect on how we set up all over the ground. As has already been pointed out in this thread it could also allow someone like Thurlow to spend some time on a wing which could only benefit our delivery going I50 which was a massive concern for us last season. That video clip showed two phases of his game well.
The main one being the half back "general" type. Good decisions, good pace, good disposal, can mark, good in traffic. The second was shown once in the game in poor lights. it shows him up higher and attacking and kicking a goal from 45 -easily. In another game late in season v Casey he did this more and kicked two great goals. He can kick long and accurate on the run. The third wasn't shown much. Lockdown defender, early in season, he showed he was able to close and destroy high balls coming in and didn't mind hitting a body on the way to the ball.
I know I am usually optimistic but I do say he is versatile. Flexible.
