Did not see Sunday but his form has generally been poor when he has played up the ground as either a high half forward or wing.

Basically, this. Is a key forward, needs to play as a key forward. Is not a winger at all, or anything else for that matter. Not sure if he has been tried as a relief ruck? Maybe for a 5 to 10 minute chop out? A bit too soft for that position currently IMO (might be worth a look?).
But yeah, play forward.

Changed his role and position and killed his confidence.

Can play as key fwd in vfl and get the confidence back. Id prefer him as 2nd key fwd over cox/jones/langford at the moment.

He's too one dimensional. He's a key forward in the size of a medium forward who lacks a tank and the ability to find the pill so he can't play up the ground.

Disappointing for him, worked hard to get here.
