Personally, I think the family dynamics is interesting. Shannon who reporters approached first could have easily just told the reporters to go as she had and walked away but Josie had to take control and step in.Yeah well by the sounds there was only 4 people on that property, so it's all their word against each other in regards to a snake whether it was there or not.
Jonica Bray has audio footage on her Tik Tok account of the incident and after watching/hearing that. It clearly shows that a person has huge anger problems, so it makes me wonder how unsafe was the environment for Gus in the first place.
If I was SAPOL and involved in this investigation I’d be keen to keep everything ‘calm on the farm’ so to speak.Ok, so you say Deputy Commissioner of Police told a lie and/or has NFI what is going on?
But you folks on here are not fooled!

It's a class C or class D license...She didn't point, she held it up on the vertical with the barrell facing upwards but I agree that she's risked her license if she has one, if it's licensed to someone else, they've also risked theirs.
Actually Jonica Bray has, in a round about way, accused the police of lying by saying they are spreading a false narrative, regarding the gun incident.Okay?
According to a police statement, they are satisfied that Josie was dispatching a snake on the patio when the Daily Mail reporter and photographer approached the house. Hmm ok.
Anyway there’s some additional good footage of the terrain at the property in the video.
Yeah no, the SAPOL haven't to my knowledge. In regards to the shotgun, I do hope the police did their due diligence and made sure gun laws were abided by, eg secure gunsafe, license etc etc.
The police are being performative and they're spreading a false narrative.
And she swears under oath there was no snake, or offers to swear under oath if necessary.
A 4 year old child is missing. Interest from the media is inevitable, especially when it’s only been a matter of weeks and with searches still ongoing.Absolutely disgusting behavior from this reporter. How dare she approach their house when Police have specifically said no media is to approach the family. And my my she was so scared for her life when she saw the gun, that she just had to antagonize the Grandmother further by continually answering her back instead of quickly leaving!! Give me a break! What a sensationalist piece of work she is. On top of this, it appears the reporter also had a drone flying around their house!!
This is exactly why the family dont want random people wandering all over their property under the guise of helping to find Gus. The family are onboard with approved groups searching as we can see this is the third search.
Yes a four year old child is missing and the media and public have been clearly told by Police to keep away from the family and their property. How are people not understanding this? The child has not been found, the search is ongoing. The area needs to treated as a crime scene would be treated, so the search and any forensics can be carried out correctly. Media interest is inevitable, yes, but it should not be intrusive and blatant as this was.A 4 year old child is missing. In this day and age it’s a little naive to think that media will steer clear of doing an independent investigation of a missing child just because police tell them to stay away. Crimes and mysteries are solved by people who are not police all the time. Why should this case be treated differently?Yes a four year old child is missing and the media and public have been clearly told by Police to keep away from the family and their property. Naive? Well police are protecting the family whilst at the same time, they are condemning the reporter for trespassing. The snake story doesn't pass the sniff test. A person yelling at someone to get off their property while brandishing a shotgun is clearly using that weapon as threat of violence.
It's hard to know what the police are up to in backing up this story.
There is no evidence of trespass. The reporter did not break any laws by entering the property, and (by all indications) left the property as soon as they were asked to do so. As far as I know the property has not been declared a crime scene and cordoned off.Well police are protecting the family whilst at the same time, they are condemning the reporter for trespassing.

Was there 'explicit instruction from authorities to stay away'?Its someone's property, do you have a house, unit, property, cave, shack or shanty?
Would you like it if someone came onto it, where there is explicit instruction from authorities to stay away, you'd be wailing away like a banshee...
It's a shithouse, unprofessional approach from a junk journo scavenger.
Why do you say he was autistic? Police would have released that if he were true.who does not welcome public assistance in searching for Gus, just does not exhibit the type of behaviours I would personally like in a person responsible for looking after a small autistic child on their own.

I was giving somebody an idea of what sometimes transpires, In no way was I trying to solve the case. Sorry if you misunderstood. No you are right to say which makes this even weird as it’s just barren salt bush land Unless those dams haven’t been searched thoroughly what’s the most likely to...www.bigfooty.com
Was there 'explicit instruction from authorities to stay away'?
Or was it more of a request / / suggestion / recommendation that the general public stay away?
Police do not normally have authority over who may or may not enter private properties. (Exceptions might include designated crime scenes). Only the owners / residents of properties may order people off them if they have a legitimate reason for being there, (e.g. to do their job).
SA Police later issued a statement saying the station was private property and media needed “express permission” to enter.
“Unfortunately, we’ve had instances in the past 24 hours where media have disregarded our instructions and entered the property without the family’s permission, causing further distress to the family,” the statement read.
“This is deeply disappointing, especially given the family’s repeated and clear wishes to avoid media engagement.”
