The membership drop-off will be huge next year if Hardwick continues and we don't make any major signings (even if we sign Prestia I expect little resistance).

If Hardwick coaches us to another shocking season the members will further drop off.

If the new coach can't win games because our list has no talent coming through, our members will further drop off.

In the last two years we will be ripe for the spoon as we'll likely be without Deledio and Riewoldt, and Rance and Cotchin will be at the end of their careers or gone. We spoon it or around that we will lose more members.

By the end of 2021 we could have less than 30,000 members, a gold won't be far away if something isn't done.

You know, branding people as bandwagoners like this really makes my blood boil. To dismiss people so easily and so off-hand, just because they reassess how to prioritise their personal spending is completely ****ed. Many long suffering members are reconsidering their position for next year and that's their right. Nobody has the right to tell others how to run their lives and if you're under the delusion that just because you may be a continuous member of x years, you're a better fan than anyone who doesn't match your 'commitment', then you're bang out of order. It's like claiming that if you don't go to every game you're not a true fan and have no right to comment/criticise the club. It's paranoid bullshit.

If people choose not to renew their membership that is on the club just as much as the individual. That's why it is so important to be successful.
