With the number five pick that we have in this years national afl draft here are the three players we should choose from.. unless hurn or someone else magically drops into our laps..

1. - Ryder: Doubt he would drop to here but that would be good.. Best tall prospect this year.

2 - Josh Kennedy: apparently isnt that far behind ryder and could be a better prospect.

Smokie - Grant Birchall: I love the looks of this kid! Could be a Pavlich type 192 cms, runs like a mid, picks up possies like a mid and is only bottom aged. Intruiging.

if the right trade come up then i would do it but otherwise i would like Travis Varcoe or one of the talls mentioned. Plenty of options .....

Every report I've read says he doesn't like physical contests, and is afraid to put his head over the ball.

More like Josh Fraser minus 10cm than Pavlich, IMO.

i think ull find that jones will be one of those kids that wont be able to play as well at elite level! and even if he were to make it he would be a long term prospect

i hear he is ready to go at AFL level and would be top10 easy if he didnt break his hand or whatever happend, he and hurn are the only AFL ready mids other than murphy.. edit maybe i'am wrong and its swallow thats AFL ready?

perhaps, but the mail i got said that he looks good but is unlikely to be able to make the step to the elite level. But thats the beauty of the draft you never know until you try em out
