Is Benny and co going to seriously suggest that 7 years on from the initial implementation of whatever plan they hatched that we are tracking on target? Like surely the latest result will do major damage to the membership numbers next year. I think they might be bordering on lunacy thinking they can fudge their way out of this humoungously ****ed up false dawn with a couple of shitful dead rubber results in the run home. Last week was like a sledge hammer smashing down on Punt Road. They will be squatting flies in the super store next year. Make no mistake we are in the gun for save our skins mk II

Sadly in his 3AW interview he said we were learning some things about us this year.... Like we learnt after the elim. in 2014, after Port smashed us in the 2015 elim. like we learnt after the norf pensioners made us look slow and soft in last years final.....

Gee, we are doin shit loads of learning!

I'm happy bc I'm a spoilt brat and I may finally get my way after this disaster period.probably the worst in our history based on our poor list development
Only hurting bc this time our list is so pi55 weak with all these tiny Tim Cratchits in it .
The new FD must come in before the draft trade period before they get us another ship load of them like Prestia as we need talls and more talls or more Kennedy mids not luxury and emotional picks of the last 7 years.

:$ What a reach!

Tee off about the on field/football department side of things, but if they have achieved anything it's ensuring the financial stability of the club. Being debt free plays a massive role in ensuring the cans won't be required again... And even if they were, the rich clubs are now forced to send their excessive profits to those that are struggling so all good! :D

They will ask us to contribute to another war chest

Haha I also get yearly calls for raffle tickets etc after getting around the FTF and the raffle when it was launched.

Clubs will always fundraise - up to the individual to decide if they want to contribute

Well in the Club's defence, the General Manager of Football from Richmond did publically state that the aim was finals and wondered when the date for the ticket tape parade was set in their honour. So they most likely feel they have done a bang up job and achieved all set before them.

Problem is all of that was achieved on the back of donations and at the expense of the Football Department actually achieving anything Football related.

You are completely full of shit if you think this has been the worst period in RFC history. :drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk::drunk:

That is hyperbole to the max.

Yep, a good friend of mine was in the tax office team auditing Richmond in the late eighties and only for the good will of a fellow tiger supporting team leader that the club wasn't forced to fold.... He still is a tiger man , first job out of Uni (should be getting free memberships IMO )

3-0-75 they hit the target

why?you seem adamant that this is incorrect. He's had 20% of our failed past for what?A middling side packed with tiny possums .
Now we are talking about a rebuild again after 7 years and our guns 7 years older. You are still hypnotized by their spin.
Keep your hyperbole firmly wedged up your arce mate if you think we've had a happy and memorable time.
Went to the rfc museum the other day and the last silverware showing victory was some cup with 1980 engraved on it.
Also noticed the last time we won a final a bloke called Spud coached us and that we have extended the contract of the worst performed coach in the vfl/afl history.
People like you aim low

Wasn't it Neville Crowe that had to stop one of the creditors looking for payment , running off with one of the premiership cups ?
They have comes long way from there . Hats off to the board and Benny. Just need to get their act together onfield...

The ANZ bank had collected the premiership cups and was taking away the tigerskins moths and all

"Don't worry, they're Richmond supporters, they'll keep giving us money even though we've achieved **** all."

They're lucky we're such a big club, this "rebuild" and their continued support of the coach and the FD is a disgrace.

i'm not sure if you're serious or not as we still bailed the club out 7 years ago and just bc no tin were rattles it still happens today and will continue with the input of fans.
Based On your comment 72000 people should be getting free memberships.
Everything comes back to members and nobody else. We continue with this lot watch us turn back to rabble.:'(
Also admiring the magnanimous efforts of this individual i highly commend the glorious and devoted donations of the 72000 individuals today.
If i had to chose between the 2 parties i would take the latter at least if something happened to terribly go wrong to this dedicated individual then 71,999 would be left to take up the slack.
The disappointment with me has been the lack of foresight and ambition to improve in an environment that was created by members for prosperity.Instead we've settled for DH and some mates and a whole lot of excuses.
I reiterate this has been the greatest failure in the history of the rfc based on opportunities lost amid the word stability which in reality was closer to incompetence

I do take your point for change; but it's now turned into a media circus / blood sport with nothing less than a public lynching will be acceptable. It can only be destructive to the RFC .

When non-Richmond people are the main protagonists baying for blood, its a major concern. They just want us to struggle, let's not shoot ourselves in the foot.

I think the RFC have heard the concerns of members loud and clear.

Btw, like with a lot of vic clubs, things were much worse back then. The club legally should have been dissolved/ bankrupted, the power was in the hands of a junior auditing team leader at the ATO who happened to be a Tigers fan. T

,but i thought our management avoided this circus by jumping and signing DH early? They need the lynching IMO so don't blame the Media.
