Can only hopeProbably Heeney, but then he'll take Windpipe deep forward and kick a couple before Ross Le Boss moves him onto Chad in Q3 when they're already down 60.
Hopefully Warner. I rate him as a player, he's obviously a gun and he's irrepressible when he's there and on fire. But we are 10-4-1 averaging 102 points and a winning margin of 35 points in games without Warner the last four years for a reason. What he brings we don't desperately need in order to be a functioning, firing team, it's just very, very nice to have. Tag a workhorse who 'does it all', so to speak, like Heeney or Gulden, and it puts a lot more pressure on others to have big games to try and fill their shoes.Who will the rat from St Scum go to , Heens or Chad
Rowy is having the weirdest season. He's rarely awful, still been decent in most games, but he just cannot get off the canvas at all in 2025. Hasn't played a single game this year that's been anywhere near his best from previous years, and we're now up to round 16. This would maybe be standard fare for some of the less proven, less quality players on the list who typically have form issues (like a McLean for example), but for a guy who has been one of our best and most consistent players over the last 3-4 years, it's kinda bizarre.Great insight to the game mate, being there live I can see all those points to the value that they add.
The Rowy point is interesting too, he is indeed our best tackler, but is that enough given his possession/ball-use count? Good question.

In the game these days it's obviously hard to be perfect for 100 minutesWatching the game back I thought there was a visible drop in our intensity in the back end of the third quarter. It seemed like all of the inaccuracy, and the work we'd done that had gone unrewarded, had taken the wind out of our sails. It was impressive the way we hung on and then rallied again to secure victory in the fourth.

That's my philosophy on tagging at least - apply the tag that will have the biggest knock-on effect for 3-4 players, not just the one you're worried about.
They seemed more effective handballs and going forward to a runner streaming past2 less than against Richmond

Our pressure rating was over 200 for most of the match. Compare that to Port, 136Tonight honestly reminded me of the early parts of last year where teams just made basic skill errors against us and we would roll up on them and create havoc on the turnover. It gives me pause of how good we can be, because not everyone coughs the ball up without pressure, which the Power did.
Anyone else surprised Esava didn't feature?COACHES VOTES

At the ground you can see that Hayward does a lot of gut running, so often when the ball is heading forward then he has to sprint back towards the forward line to get there. He isn't usually waiting there so that we can target him.Do we target Hayward enough? hard to tell on Tv
He looked good, but I suppose he wouldn’t have if Amartey kicked straight.Anyone else surprised Esava didn't feature?
Not particularly. Why would he? I know Amartey didn't kick a goal but that was all his own doing, not Ratugolea's.Anyone else surprised Esava didn't feature?
