All this ‘coasting’ talk is laughable. We have won 24 out of last 106 AFL football matches. Davies Uniacke a major part of that. Never been in the leadership group which is telling especially in the Clarkson era. When will people wake up and realise he just ain’t that good. That’s not to say he won’t play an important part in our rise up the ladder, but will never be an A grader in my opinion. Have said it for years.

The only way he could be an A grader is if he regressed.

When you have first to second year guys like Sheez and Wardlaw being like ‘come on campaigners, let’s take the game on’ I see how LDU’s smooth moving calmness goes under the radar.

But that’s kinda what Judd had to do with the guys around him

He's posted multiple 10 coach vote games to show his elite ceiling isn't just our imagination.

But to date he has no real full season validations of ability yet. No NMFC or external awards, no AA shortlists etc. His body or his form haven't yet consistently demonstrated what we all see in him.

Could have been accused of "coasting" last year when we got smashed by the Dogs at Princes Park, recall him having a decent first 5 minutes in the first quarter, then barely touching the ball doing circle work for the next 3 quarters.

Comes out and plays two 3 vote games in Rd 1 and 2 before injuring his foot. I don't think we need to worry about LDU coasting in practice matches.

Being played forward pocket by some race car administrator cost him a North best and fairest

Only cause the team hasn't won games in his career.

If we win 10 games last year, he'd be a talked about as a top 10 player for sure.

The Prunce of Arden needs to take up the mantle of King this year. Own the midfield, kick goals, use his power/agility combination. Want him having big meters gained because it shows he's getting out the front of stoppages.

The Collingwood game in 2022 when they ran over the top of us in the 4th was probably the best game he's played in his career with something like 7 centre bouce clearance, everything he touched was pushing things forward.

Very good after quarter time. 7 tackles is pleasing even if his actual defensive running is crap. That sort of game is the baseline for him if he's healthy

Was solid today.

On his tackling, he is a perfectly fine defensive player when the ball is in and around the contest, but as soon as the ball gets on the outside he is a deadset liability. Just has no defensive intent to run back hard and help out the defenders. It remains the biggest negative in his game.

yeah there was noticeably a time when he and coniglio were near each other, cogs pushed hard forward and LD chose, not couldnt, chose to not go with him. it's an issue but one that can be carried with other players who can pressure around the ball. Neale is a classic example of that type that can be carried. when the oppo has the ball Neale quite literally just looks to move somewhere he can be dangerous on turnover
