Geez this talk is getting me excited, can't get off the toilet seat at work... They're probably waiting for me but I need to talk about Crippa a little more, can you imagine against collingwood pendles knocks over one of our youngsters and Crippa notices? Next contest Crippa tackles Pendles and slams him into the following month, and then gets 3 weeks... But it'll be worth it!!!+1
Its always annoyed me how little our players stand up for one another. Nothing silly needed, just a just a nudge and a glare to let the opposition know they shouldn't try that again.
Equally, I love the fact that Dylbucks never backs down despite being 1/8th the size of a fully grown human...

I know it's the Cripps thread, but what jumped out at me was Matthew Wright's 11 contested possessions. That was just a lazy half on the park for Cripps.Shameless bump.
I just wanted to leave this here. I'm sure we don't need to be reminded how good this guy is, but golly gosh (feel weird swearing in a Cripps thread) those are some good numbers against a strong midfield for only 53% game time.

Boekhurst had a ripper game - a real breakout game - Kerridge /Wright also did well.
but look at disposal efficiency of Thomas- now down to clanger factor of a White...
will be fun watching the side improve on these micro stats over the year as players get more defined roles and learn to play more as a team.
Add Murphy and Gibbs contributing and it's very promising.Cripps is big time. We all know that.
But the addition of Kerridge is really going to complement him.
Those two are going to have some serious clearance numbers this year.
The fact our midfield took it right up to Sydney's is a hell of a good start.
It's was Cripps Kerridge Boeky Curnow and Graham, doing the damage.

And on a positive note, when Cripps sat for most of the second half, they didn't really faulter.Cripps is big time. We all know that.

Winning contested ball and clearances has never been our problem. We were one of the leader last year weren't we?Yep. I'd say our midfield took the points.
Hanneberry got off the chain a little.
But 47 -37 in the clearances.
33- 25 at the stoppage.
With no Crippa in the second half and no Murphy for the match.
That's a fair effort against one of the best clearance midfields in the AFL.
Massive positive for Bolton really.
Curnow did really well keeping Kennedy in check too.
And kicks goalsThe beauty of bringing in Kedge is that although he lacks the polish of Crippa, he's another decent sized unit who can feed it out to Murph/Gibbs, hopefully allowing them to focus on doing damage on the outside and (fingers crossed) extending their careers a tad.

Outside mids can be flashy but give me a quality inside player any day of the week.I haven't liked watching a player in the middle as much as Cripps since Kouta was unleashed there.

Kerrige, Cripps and Graham will be a powerful inside contested force, allowing Murphy and Gibbs to move to the outside, we should look a lot better if we play those three on the ball. The beauty of bringing in Kedge is that although he lacks the polish of Crippa, he's another decent sized unit who can feed it out to Murph/Gibbs, hopefully allowing them to focus on doing damage on the outside and (fingers crossed) extending their careers a tad.

Those handballs under immense pressure on the weekend stood out like dogs balls.
His ability to free his arms with two or more blokes hanging off him and reliably hit a target anywhere within 360 degrees.
He's better at it than Judd already, and thats saying something.
