A changed team for 2011

I'd be curious to know if the Collingwood coaching panel know how they would defeat their own game plan.

That's the $64 question. ( I really think that expression hasn't totally moved with the times, but hey.. :) )

It sounds from the training reports that they've been working on that, doing the drills practicing breaking through the zones.

The teams that have succeeded better than others against us, seem to be able to move the ball quickly and then kick long over the top, hoping their forwards can then run onto the ball heading goalward.

I just wonder if maybe Reid may be one used in this way...get it to him and let him drive a racking 60m low fast pass over the zone/wall.

Will also be interesting if we can stay one step ahead, or if the others will watch us like hawks and cotton on fast.

Still, it's one thing to know the theory, we've been doing hard yards with the swarm all year and now working on the 'anti-swarm'

Tarrant can only help create this scenario for us. We have great structural flexibility in our defense.

Agree, that's what i was thinking aswell.

PS wonder if Leon will have any role with this.

And also, wonder if we'll be practising torps more this pre-season than usual?

As mentioned elsewhere: most likely changes to the best 22 team IMO:

Out: T.Goldsack, J.Blair, B.Johnson
In: C.Tarrant, A.Krakouer, B.Dick

With L. Davis, B.Johnson, T.Goldsack the most likely best emergencies.
