A joy to watch

Just wanted to let you guys know how good it was to watch you guys play the other night. I was one that stayed and watched the whole game and simply I did this to watch your side play. Your side are a great offensive unit with a watertight defence and were simply stunning to watch. Its always hard to win premierships but if you guys play near your best no one will get hear you.

I hope you win it again because there is nothing better than watching class sides play football.

Good luck for the rest of 2008 and I just hope at some point I get to see that type of football played again.

Thanks for the post mate. It certainly was entertaining watching a great side play, as it has been for the past 18 months. Great to see you can still enjoy footy whilst your side is struggling a bit, but be sure that your club has some great people on board and you will be back up the top before you know it. Cheers GW. The maggies have given us a bit of a touch up a few times in the last few years and sometimes you just have to grin and bear it.

The thing about it was that the cats are playing such an attractive brand of footy atm it's just a joy to watch. Compare Saturday nights one sided match to the snorefest on Friday night and despite the margin, the cats v WCE match was such a better game to watch. The difference in skill levels, despite one match being played indoors was bewildering to say the least.

Thanks, sometimes you gotta sit back and admire the opposition - easier to do that when you've been on top.

Personally I'd sooner watch a team win by twenty goals than five goals any day.

I went Friday night and it was utter crap, only the margin was interesting...

Although it sounds like you guys don't really want to hear anything from out POV, I wanted to congratulate Cam Mooney on something. I'm not sure if other Eagles posters have said anything about it, but after Will Schofield's smother on the goal line, Cam clapped Will and once Bartel had kicked that amazing goal, he went over and gave Will a pat on the head and some encouragement.

I know its easier to do when you are 120 in front, but I still thought it was a good touch that was only marginally bettered by the smother itself.

You're not the first bloke I've seen say that about Cam's actions. If it happened to someone on my team, I'd take offense to it. I thought it was almost ridicule.
