Universal Love A Moratorium on Snark (aka the Healing Thread)

A few weeks ago, Chief contacted the forum's mods to raise the issue of 'snark'. More specifically to ask if BigFooty had 'reached peak snark'?

'Snark', apparently, is a combination of snide and sarcastic comments/remarks.

Chief was concerned about posters being unhappy and disillusioned with posting on their respective boards, and feeling under attack. He suggested we look at ways to improve the tone.

So, being obedient mods, we have shamelessly borrowed the approach of the Carlton board (yes), and invite you all to set aside your cynicism and consider saying something nice to each other. Even better, if you feel a bit guilty or uncomfortable about something you posted earlier in the season, or a stoush you had with a particular poster, then reach out in peace. Offer someone a virtual hug. Whatever it takes.

At the very least its a way to draw a line under the season (VFL excepted) and launch into the off-season/pre-season with some of our internicine conflict on hold or at least temporarily at bay, and our consciences clear.

If you think this thread is a ridiculous joke and waste of time, then dont participate. But above all, please keep it free of snark (and cat videos).

I want to apologise in advance for not being able to control my emotions when a certain poster posts and want my reply button taken away just for that poster. Others that I don't normally agree with I will like their posts anyway just for effort.
