Just wondering how anyone can be unhappy with the path we are presently on and the future that we heading towards?

By and large Nut i have stuck with TW and GM all the way ... but after the Collingwood game i think anyone who carries our great club on thier sleave was within thier rights to question WTF was going on ?

We are travelling well but we aint there yet ... still a lot of work to be done .

But i do sense that we have finally turned the corner , and just in the nick of time for those boys

And he will def be coach next year too (same sauce)

we are all happy with the present. We can only hope its a sign towards our future. Until the future becomes the present and that present is what we hoped for, we can only be sceptical.

yeah good point have a look at how shit the bombers recruited, glad we aren't in their position. If Foley was a no.1 draft pick he would get a lot more credit than he does and would be rated up there with Hodge and Judd by people outside Richmond. People only pay attention to the high picks we ____ up, but not the low picks and rookies that we get from nowhere, ie Foley, King, Tuck.

At present I'm not happy... we could have won the last 3 games and be top 4ish..... What I am happy about is the future, the young players that TW and GM have introduced over the last three seasons and the way the are playing. The Defense that has been created from Rookies and high draft picks.. Moore, Mcguane, Thursfield and to a lesser extent Shulz (because he was pick 20), the continued development of our midfield at all cost... The winning trades.... we have won more trades than lost since Miller has been here... People have short memories, before miller no one would even bother to trade with us except Freo... and we lost on more trades than we won.


If you aren't confident that signs are good for the future than SURELY you wouldn't be happy now... so if you are happy now than it MUST because the future looks F$%King Awesome..... Bring 2009 and 2010 and 2011....

Success is a fact because you triumph over something or someone. It happened.
Losing is a fact too, because that's the reverse of Success.

Your 'Signs' aren't necessarily facts...
They can be dreamed up sign-posts of belief in eventual, fingers-crossed success.
Signs, unless they are facts, are wishful thinking.

When we get some hard cold facts of TW's & Miller's success AS FACTS,
then we can all stop being bashers with another FACT.

As for your future thing and how everyone should be happy with the future, tell you what. Why dont you go ask TW and GM why it took them to round 4 to uncover that "sign for the future" for you. I mean, yeah our future is looking a tad more rosy now than it has for a long time, but yes it must have been ready to look like that way before round 1 2 3 and 4.
Thats the only thing that worries me, that there is a valid case to put forward that Tw and GM are in self preservation mode and had to change the scene, i.e. chuck out game plan that hasnt worked, wasnt going to work, could not be taught etc etc and we are now back to the basics of get the ____ing ball and if you havent got it, get it off who has. That aint no game plan dude, that is just plain and simple footy. I mean, take TW from the scene and lets say put Tom Hafey in the seat. The message would be the same, hit the ball as hard as you can and in numbers.

What dont you guy's like about our list and the way our drafting has gone....

Our KPP Defence is developing nicely, Thursfield... Mcguane...Moore... players like Rance and Gourdis to came.

Our Midfield.... Foley, Deliedio, Tambling,Tuck, White, Edwards, Polo... Collins, Cotchin, Connors to came

Our Forwardline... Reiwoldt, Hughes?? Forwardline looks scratchy

All Players that have been added through the Draft, PSD, and rookie list since Miller has been here..

Add Polak to the Forward line through an AWESOME trade plus Morton a steal with pick 33 and Mcmahon for pick 18 to the defence.

So whats so bad about that???

Stupid thing for TW to say but I suppose he was trying to show support in a Player the club thinks has a great future.... ok he's just turned 20 and hasn't set the place on fire... infact hasn't shown too much at all. But some players need more time and I think he is one.... How old was pridis when he made his debut for the Eagles?? Tuck snr??? be patient.

dude, watched Priddis for the last couple of years playing in the WAFL. Believe me it wasnt that he wasnt ready to play senior footy, that kept him out. Me thinks that a certain group of duds, in the form of Cousins, Kerr, Judd, Braun and Fletcher were being inexcpicably selected ahead of him.
He was tearing it up in the WAFL, way before he was let loose in the seniors dude.

Just because the game plan appears simple - play through the corridor, use our pace to open up space, apply pressure all over the ground - doesn't mean we don't have one.
The players proved against Hawthorn they can follow strict instructions - brilliant coached - and almost pulled off a win against a team no-one else has got close to this year.
And what "telling moves" would you have made in the past three weeks? Throw Will Thursfield to full-forward as a surprise tactic when we lead the Dogs by 19 points with three minutes left?

There is no game plan......it's all about hoping the fruit grows big and juicy with Terry. And waiting. Terry doesn't and has never realised our crop won't come to fruition slowly while all the other clubs just stand still and let us pass them by. In isolation, Terry's 'sit and wait' action is great.....if you're the only goddamn team in the league!!

Having had a look at 'The Spud Years' TW should have realised that he needed to get Richo out of the forward line immediately.
It's a bit late for footballing wisdom to smack Terry on the ass in Year 4.

And while we waste time for the Cleve Hughes and JON to grow, others play and keep playing READY MADE YOUNG PLAYERS, drafted cause they could play from the start......not hoping the footballing Gods squirt some footballing ability into them.

TW looks at Coburg like his a nursery...when in fact it should be a constant embarassment for any Richmond footballer to play there.
You think Kevin Bartlett would have played for Coburg? No cause he was too good to play shitty 2nd's footy from the start.
Draft them if they can play Senior footy.....not if they might.

Terry has no idea.....Right now he's sitting with his fingers crossed just hoping the team gets some more wins so he can save his job.

Face facts......he can't coach this group......evidence proves it.

I don't think what happens in the dying minutes of a game has a lot to do with the coach. He needs level heads on the ground. On Saturday the Saints had over 1000 games more experience on the park. Give them credit for holding on. Considering he has taken last years wooden spooners to a 10 goal interstate thumping (when did Richmond last do that?), a draw with an undefeated team, within a couple of goals of the best team (currently) in the competition, and within 3 points of a team most people had as a top four team at the start of the year, he hasn't done too badly.

Get off the guy and start SUPPORTING your team!
