Used to be a huge NBA fan, but due to not having foxtel, never ever see games anymore...

For years and years Shaq just dominated.. as everyone knows

Whats happened to him?

I never see his name in the stats or anything...

Is it age? injury? the game changing?

whats the story?

Just age. Stupid thing is he still has three more years left on Miami's payroll at more than 20 million a year. The Heat are screwed. Not that I care because I freakin hate them. Does not help that the team around him stinks but as I said after the Heat pay Wade and Shaq all that money there is not much left to put a decent team around them.

He's 36, you'd have to say age is the main reason. If you get to watch a Heat game you'll see he lumbers around at a slow pace (sure, he was never a speedster but he moved alright back in the day).

Meh, they were fully aware that this would happen, but they swallowed the contract anyway in the hope/expectation he'd get them a championship in the first couple of seasons. Which he did (Wade moreso, but the net result is the same).

Upset with his team's poor start and with his teammate's inability to get him the ball, O'Neal might have reached a breaking point.
