Should be an interesting call to see who claims the spot as back up ruckman to Sandilands in the AA team this year. Alot of clubs have had ruckmen in good form, for mine Jamar, Hudson, Mumford are the leading contenders. Ryder, Hille, McIntosh, Kruezer have also been good.

So based on form from rounds 1-12 thus far who would you pick as the AA backup ruckman.

Dam forgot to add the poll; nominees from each club;

Adelaide - Maric
Brisbane - Luenberger
Carlton - Kruezer
Essendon - Ryder or Hille
Geelong - Blake
Hawthorn - Renouf
Melbourne - Jamar
North Melbourne - McIntosh
Port - Brogan
Richmond - Vickery
St.Kilda - Gardiner
Sydney - Mumford
West Coast - Naita or Cox
Bulldogs - Hudson

Would have thought that big Angus Graham would be our nominee. He has been playing really well in the last 5 weeks... Vickery has not really done a lot, definately would not be in any AA calculations..

Yeah, I didn't see that, But, Angus has been playing A lot better then Vickery so far this year.

i think it's between Jamar and Mumford at this point in time.

Jamar gets the nod for me.

Good call, forgot about him when putting the list together, he has played some good footy this year. I thought i would put each clubs ruckmen up for discussion, Luenberger is having a good year, likewise Maric and don't forget Renouf's efforts playing one out for most of the year aswell.

I doubt a backup ruckman will be picked as Sandilands has been so dominant but if they did Jamar is clear second from Hudson, Ryder and Mumford

Another Melbourne autofellatio thread on the poll board.

What a surprise.

It was 3 non-melbourne supporters who suggested Jamar dickwad. fwiw there shouldn't be a back-up ruckman at this stage imo the bench should come down to which players have had the better season regardless of position and structure which are pretty much completely different to the old 3 on each line set-up still used for the AA team and in the paper

Brad Roo will vote for Hamish McIntosh. Actually don't be surprised if McIntosh wins, he's had an absolutely great season :thumbsu:

Sandilands gets injured now, and misses the rest of the season. What happens?

Someone else is the AA ruckman. Not exactly a brain teaser champ.

Haha yeah I know that but someone said something about Sandi being so dominant he wouldn't 'need' a second ruck in the AA team. So who'd go first if he wasn't there? Or has his year been so good so far he'd get in anyway?
