I wasn't worried about port before, but now they have recruited Captain Picard I'm having second thoughts

My thoughts exactly. I reckon freo will win this in a close one. Had Melbourne actually beaten the power I reckon the Power would of been stuffed mentally.

Port skills were shocking vs Melbourne, it was one of the worst games of football i have seen. It was just bad kick to bad kick.

Port did push back well (flood) and we will have to open our eyes with our forward entries. Expect Pavlich to have two guys on him for most of the match.

Mayne and Clarke will have to provide good options to stop Pav getting double teamed.

There midfield is ok with out much polish, Pearce is there only midfielder (Pick no 4 from last year is good as well but doesnt play that much midfield) with A grade disposal.

With Schultz and Butcher out there forward line will struggle and I will expect McPharlin and Johnson to have a field day.

My first game for the year I will actually attend, followed by the crows game so we better win this one. I doubt we will get close to the crows here.

I am looking forward to seeing Fyfe back.

The reason I say it will be a close game is that they have been competitive at home at aami. Sad thing is I would kill to grab one of their 40 goal a year key fowards to play for us With Schultz, Westoff or Butcher. To think some people on here said that Freo had one of the worst Forward lines in the Comp.

Now we have got sone tall players in Pav, Bradley and Zac Clarke taking overhead marks. We have got Walters and Ballantyne in the Forward pockets and a reliable medium sized forward in chris Mayne.

Believe it or Not, Ports Midfield is Not that bad. they have some experienced heads in Danyle Pearce, Cassisi and Boak and a couple of Kids in Hartlett and Wingard.

I wouldn't say I'm a fan, but I do know enough to know that Picard has always been a reliable shot from inside his own 50
