I thought I heard them say he was a neighbour. They were ages 8 and 12. There is also security camera footage of the attempted abduction of the older boy. The identities of the boys was released which suggests that they weren’t indecently assaulted.
I saw it on the five o’clock news. Wait until you see it. The footage is confronting.
Just watched it. I am absolutely disgusted with the media not only intruding and taking advantage of this families frightening ordeal, but to actually interview the poor child through the car window and then putting it to air!! Media involved have crossed the line in my book, laws need to change. They were ages 8 and 12. There is also security camera footage of the attempted abduction of the older boy. Both good questions. Appears a friend or relation was looking after the children, it was their CCT, which they must have given to the police as evidence. Did the care giver keep a copy and give that to the media? or did the police release it to the media?Who was protecting the children ?
And who gave the CCTV footage to the media in the first instance ?
I think that when the police were searching for the child, for a brief period there may have been an alert sent out to the mobile phones on the area with the child’s first name included, which I guess means that the child was somewhat identifiable, even though it is a very common name.Just watched it. To be clear- the CCT footage is not my concern here - its the moment the media go to the car window and speaks to the child. Both good questions. Terence Kelly could get big sentencing discount for admitting he kidnapped Cleo Smith and kept her captive
It was the kidnap ordeal that captured the attention of the nation and made headlines around the world — today the man who abducted four-year-old Cleo Smith learns his fate.www.abc.net.au
Maybe it will be like one of those discounts where the un-discounted amount is already marked up at least 25%.Kelly is likely to receive a substantial discount of up to 25 per cent — or five years
I'm a little surprised the ABC have gone early with what is a fairly predictable sentencing outcome - that being I speculate 10 years with minimum 5 for parole, less time served...Today is April 5.

He's not getting out in 5 years.I'm a little surprised the ABC have gone early with what is a fairly predictable sentencing outcome - that being I speculate 10 years with minimum 5 for parole, less time served...
Suspect the other MSM outlets have likely already drafted a related sensatational headline and narrative promoting outrage...
