Seems like the Aces can't take a trick, surely the double header is washed out also, it's absolutely pissing down in Melbourne, Sheffield Shield match abandoned for the day already.

What's the food and drink situation like at the games?

one van, 30m line, i didn't bother. food-basic crap, chips, coke, pie. also noticed a beer garden.

Blue Sox and Bandits split the double-header tonight. Blue Sox took the first game 3-1, game two was 3-3 after 9, Bandits exploded at top 11th with 9 runs and took the win 12-3.

Went on Friday night. Sat there with an umbrella till 8:20 when it was finally called off.

Oh well... what can you do?

Game has been rescheduled for Sunday at midday so I will go to that.

The double header tonight will be rescheduled at a later date.

wow the aces hitters found some form ominous signs for others. Hope the Cavs can bounce back and be competative at home this weekend against the Bite

What's the food and drink situation like at the games?

Beer is confined to the bar area which is up the first base line, same with the food van, comparable to footy options.

Funnily, the toilets are up the 3rd base line, which is bloody annoying.

Have heard they will be getting an open license, so you can take beer to your seat, in time for the next home series.

Quality of the playing field in general is sub-standard, granted the torrential rain didn't help.

They better be changing the liquor license. That is ridiculous to confine drinking to a spot where you can't see the game. And what's with the music? Hanson's Oom Bop? Who are they kidding.

For a starters let people take drinks to their seats and replace Oom Bop with Freddie King's "Going Down" for a starters.

Create a carnival atmosphere not a creche.

Sounds like you guys have got it bad at Aces games.
Over here, you just go to the irish pub or the hundreds of other eating/drinking venues on the parade before the game.
The pre-game music is all American themed too! It's great. Plus all the usual baseball chimes!!!

Strange old weekend in Sydney, games washed out, postponed, then in the last game of an attempted double header today, the game is declared a draw with Melbourne going past their "curfew" to get back to Melbourne tonight, for some very strange reason.

Just weird.

strange set up, seems any postponed games will make return encounters double headers. Cavs Bite had one game postponed which will be put into a double header when they meet in Adelaide, taking away any home advantage. May have to change flights to mondays or tuesdays to squeeze the extra game in. Great to see the Cavs sweep the bite
