at 16 you would imagine he might have another growth spurt to go yet!
Exactly. If he can keep growing at this rate could be a real shot to overtake Sandi/Street as the tallest player ever to be listed in the league (if he is drafted of course).

We must have a fair bit of height in that group. Ballenden is up there as well.

There are also some familiar names in there of tall guys from the last few years. Young Kristelly is in that same age co-hort and he could be the brother of Will who was 206cm from memory. There is also 3 Dennis guys in the upper age groups of the academy. Nate is coming back as an overager at 201cm and if the other two are his younger brothers chances are they might have some height as well.

Interestingly the AFL Prospectus have named Allison and Joel Perry-Warren as the two Lions Academy kids to watch next year. I have not seen anything of Perry-Warren personally but it is great to have someone else to watch closely this year.

The following year only Connor Ballenden is named. For 2018 they have identified Loki Haines and Tom Matthews. Matthews has been on the radar for a couple of years after winning the Clarke scholarship a couple of years ago. He is a long kicking forward / mid. Haines another key position type.

For those in the know what type of player is he?

no mention of Rolls? Was Perry-Warren with the AIS Academy?

Outside mid according to the Prospectus.
That's interesting. This is one of the areas that I believe that the Lions are lacking. Hanley for me is the only true outside mid that we have on the list and eve though Allison played outside during the champs last year it will be interesting to see where he settles. What is Perry-Warren's speed like? Need a couple of more line-breakers I feel.

Reuben Williams has outside pace and a sharp sidestep. Will be interesting to see if he's a chance to debut towards the end of the year.

As in the Top 25 prospects for the 2016 draft?

Allison I think might have turned 18 already this year. Could be wrong.

Nice pump up here from Scotty talking about the Lions Academy. Wagner looks really good in these clips and Scott seems pretty genuine in his praise.
There's always a pang of 'what if?..' but this continues to show that we have a system that can produce a stream of good AFL quality Queenslanders.
