I feel like the strong option is to bite the bullet and go with Butters.

The weak option is to worry about the optics and the questioning that will come from the media and not pick either.

Hopefully leading the team for most of the season helps Butters make a decision to stay. Probably clutching but he might feel like this is his team this year more than ever before.

I wouldn't be opposed to Butters and Rozee co captains next year.

No he didn’t. He said they both act as captains but it will be a flip of the coin who gets named captain.
I took it as he hasn’t put any thought into it yet, as it was right after the game, but he won’t be running 2 captains per game on paper.
