Looks like he will be leaving Port at the end of the year

Former 1st Rounder from a couple years back hasnt really been giving a opportunity

Seems to be a inside Mid and looks like if giving enough game time will be a good player

Should we chase him and what would it cost

Do you think he will leave at years end and what would your asking price be now dont be like most of the BF posters and give a normal answer

Whats his positives and negitives

deal.. as long as u throw in (as a package) the burgoynes, boak, pearce and lade....

your suggestion is as stupid as mine.. try a 3rd round draft pick for a guy who cant get senior minutes at ur club....

Adam has another good 8 years left him while Didak has 3 more. Young for old.

Yeah its a bit unrealistic, however what are you willing to unload for Adam?

How about Egan

both played about 30 Games both are 1st Round picks and you guys need the roaming HFF and thats his best role (we have plenty of them) and both need fresh starts

Rate him highly, probably the third best young gun we have, Boak and Gray the other two, If i was Port a second 10 draft pick (11-20) or a decent established player.

Pros: ball winning ability, team mindset, quick hands, strong body
Cons: (at port) not super quick, can play inside, cant play on the wings, hits targets, isnt shaded dark enough to play on the ball...

I am disapointed he is leaving!

wont get much more than a second rounder, possibly excahnge of players and a third rounder.

Willimas may like egan;)

he has goen three years without senior action, he stock is lower than onetels

we'd be lucky to get a late second rounder for adam, which imo is a gross undervaluation, considering he has the potential to be elite. He had the highest clearance rate per time on ground of any player in the comp last year. Will flourish when given the opportunity.

I think you're right - guys who have played as much as he has the last couple of years won't get 1st round picks like some other posters have requested.

I see he hasn't played AFL since Round 16. Was he dropped or injured?

Dropped. After public backlash from port supporters due to his unexplained dropping Choco came out and said he was showing signs of developing osteitis pubis. Strangely he continued to play for Sturt (and get in thier bests every week). Basically Choco doesnt rate him, or had some sort of falling out with him and it is in thomson's best interests to be traded.

Cheers. In that case you would think the club wouldn't hold another club to ransom and you would be looking at a 2nd round pick at best for him.

I'd reckon you would only get that if there was a bidding war for his services.

Choco would love Egan his kind of player
Or a 3rd Rounder i would take Egan has the potential but needs pull his finger out might be the coach to do it

Want a second rounder, but will probably have to settle for a third rounder for thomson.

I'm sure he'll go cheap, which is sad.

He won't get anything higher than a 3rd rounder or an exchange for a higher draft pick IMO.

Haven't seen enough of him but if he is a clearance gun then by all means we should look at him. Could be the player we need to replace Burns and O'Bree.

Love for us to have a dip with our 3rd Rounder doubt Choco will take it of us does anyone know what state he came from

Pretty much has to in the circumstances. I wouldn’t have the faintest idea what he’d be worth or if anyone at Collingwood rates him. Probably comes down to whether Hine rated him in his draft year. Player wise his stats read as worth a Toovey. Draft wise his stats say a late 3rd round at best, probably token 4th round. Sounds like a PSD pick up though in reality. Sort of player a club will take a cheap punt on.

Really love the look of this kid looking at his bio and stats we should offer Port our 3rd Rounder straight up if the kid wants to come to Collingwood he is from Sturt which is the only problem and theres talks that Adelaide are into him might be like when Adelaide got Symes sound like the same circumstances

I would be prepared to put up #43 but not #27 based on our current picks. Would prefer a player deal though, but whomever it was who said "Dawes" on your board yesterday (can't recall the member) is absolutely dreaming.

I haven't seen Thomson play but going on what i've read here i think Collingwood should take a look at him. We'll need some hard bodied clearence players to cover Burnsy and O'Bree when they're gone and Thomson could be an option.
