JJ is their most damaging midfielder, so he would be my choice.

I'm with Kane on this one Stiffy, J Johnson is their most damaging midfielder & with Stinga having the job on Hird I would assign the task of keeping tabs on JJ to Rob Shirley

I think our balance is going to be pretty good for the conditions with the ruckman and Carey the only one's who are "talls" and talls only

Smart Hart Bassett McGregor and Welsh are all pretty good at ground level for their size.

This was probably why Alessio was dropped due to the conditions.

Look for Carey to kick some butt and for Roo to be BOG.

Don't underestimate Hille, his rucking is OK, but his ability to run is what could hurt us. The number of times he runs straight from a ruck contest into the forward line and takes a mark is amazing. If he were to do this he would complete cut up Clarke. I'm not really sure how Biglands would cope either. His ability to run out four quarters like this is questionable though IMO.

Hopefully we spank them in the midfield and this doesn't become an issue.

And another thing I find sus is that he is going into the game with one ruckman. He is coming up against one of the best (if not the best) ruck combination in the AFL and he is coming in with one inexperienced ruckman. I reckon Alession might be a late inclusion.

You read my mind! Soon as I saw that I thought Alessio will play.

Great mind think a like ;)

Blowing a gale in the city at the moment. Sky's gone burgundy with all the dust. Whoever wins the toss tonight is probably going to choose to kick to the eastern wing.

I am looking forward to Lloyd throwing up the grass only for it land on the roof of the grandstand. ;)

The game starts at 7:40pm ACST time right? So that's 8:10pm Melbourne time, but channel 9's telecast in Melbourne doesn't start until 8:30. Yay for Burke's Backyard.

Jason Johnson and Jobe Watson (who was never going to play) are both out for the Bombers, with Barnard and Forster-Smyth being the ins.

Stiffy did predict it!!

First Quarter:
ADL 4.3.27
ESS 1.3.9

Bloody hell, did you see the rain....it's biblical!

The Umpires, do they even know it's raining. 16 free kicks in a quarter of footy, with the season average being about 30 a game.....what are they thinking. Some of the decisions are baffling. Smart's free that resulted in Lloyds goal was BS, as were a couple that went both ways. If this keeps up there is going to be some serious Umpire bashing on BigFooty this week, regardless of the score. Hopefully we continue to be first to the footy, this may result in a turnaround in the free count....who knows.

Great goal Clarkey!

Overall, well played Crows, lets see more of the same in the 2Q.

Cheers,

Kasey

2Q
ADL 7.7.49
ESS 2.4.16

Much better quarter by the Crows, as I said earlier, being first to the ball allowed us to reap away, from the use of the ball, and from the umpires.

Great bag by Scotty Welsh....keep it up son.

WTF is up with Mark Johnson.....4 frees against, dude needs to chill the hell out.

Overall, probably one of the best halves of footy I've seen the lads play this year, esp considering the circumstances. Hope they keep it up for a 4Q effort.

Cheers,

Kasey

Just between you and me, I am sick to death of Eddie sticking the boot into Adelaide and South Australian at every fvcking oportunity. FFS! The guy has no idea I think about how much we as South Aussie hate that ego maniac.

1. Complains about getting wet at the airport.
2. Complains about the weather. (oh the irony)
3. Complains about the SA footy idiosyncracies. We have been playing footy in SA for over 100 years.....just because Victoria does it one way, does not meen that is the right way.
4. Has a go at the scoreboard operators....without thinking it through.

Eddie.....Shut the heck up!
