Last roll of the dice for Crows. Lose this and its all over red rover.

IN: Perrie, Hart (if available, otherwise Bode)
OUT: Biglands (susp), Goodwin (inj)

I think we will struggle to match up on their tall timber up forward. Milne is another one who gives us headaches when ever we play them.

Thoughts??????

Pfft! I don't know how many times I've had to watch the ball being kicked to Carey and him not marking it..and NO ONE crumbing around him *shakes head*

Carey is way too soft..he easily got pushed out of some contests today

The Crows are going to get spanked.

Ayres will again say that the players aren't doing it right.
ive actually got Faith and I'm going to tip us to get up next week. Purely because we are playing at home and the signs were good today, well bar the 'goal' kicking.

I'm dreading next week. We have played three weeks in sunshine and near perfect weather (warm but not windy) and next weeks its under lights where it will be dewy. We will be lucky to kick 6 goals given our best to date is 11. The crucifixation will be delayed by a week!!!!

I would be tempted to give Luke Jericho a go. Although in saying that, only if he is truely ready.

We will be one tall man short though - cause Rhett will definately be "unavailable" this week.

They've gotta give him a go- at least a quarter maybe.

We have to start bringing in these young guys and giving them some experience- Jez especially will need it for next year, which will probably be his 'breakout' year.

Jericho would actually be a very good choice I think...I have a feeling the St Kilda defence would have a tough time matching his height and pace...he is an unusual one...

I'd play Perrie at CHF, move Kenny back to CHB, and play Hentschel as the 3rd tall in the backlines.

If Hart recovers, I'd play him on Milne.

Our effort was good today, but the gameplan is not overly clever and the structure poor.

Maintain the effort, and get a little bit smarter with the last two and we will start to win games again.

As I said in the other thread, there is no way you could question the effort today. The effort was there, the heart was there, the skills weren't, the structure wasn't. Anyone who says we didn't make an effort today needs to get a hold of the stats sheet. We beat Freo in contested possesions.

I would like to see Perrie in but I suspect AFC won't bring him in. He was crap for North last week and didn't play a game this week. I think AFC will bring in Jericho and Hart if he is fit. If not then probably Bode or Torney.

To beat St Kilda and for that matter any team we must start taking the correct options. How many times did we take the wrong option today. We unfortunately have a lot of dumb footballers and kenny is near the top of the list. If Perrie had been playing the situation would have even be worse. For some players more game time experience will reduce the level of errors, for others I am afraid that they may never actually get any better. Unfortunately too the disease can be catching, Macca was as guilty as a number of others today. To rectify this situation you need to remove the players who constantly cough up the ball when under pressure and include youngsters with skill and technique that will not fail under pressure, once they have 50 games under their belt. Jericho is one such player.

I don't think it is fair of you to tar him like this at all. He was continually in our best players in a number of losing causes last season when he was played at CHF. He keeps trying when he is given the responsibility (although goes to sleep at FF).

Will be the first home game I've missed in about three years as I'm up here in sunny Brisbane. So no doubt we'll play the game of ours lifes...win by 10 goals. McLeod will be back to his brilliant best. Carey will kick goal of the year. And Hentschel will out gun Riewoldt. ...or so a girl can dream.

The greatest weakness for the Sainters is their defence however to counter that our greatest weakness is our attack. I reckon that provided the boys out in the same effort and intensity as they did yesterday we are a chance (ever the optimist).

Changes - out Biglands (suspended), Goodwin (injured) and Bassett (for continual whinging and falling over)
In - Bode, Jericho or Perrie, Hart

Move Kenny to defence and Hentschell can take Bassetts spot. Perrie/Jericho to CHF.

Yeh, were a chance.

Anyone else reasonably confident of a win against St. Kilda. If Perrie and Bode are our ins and Kenny is thrown back to CHB I think we are a good chance of a win.

We are not far off from turning it around.

Both Hamill and Baker have been reported Baker will definatley be getting a holiday he smacked Kane Johnson in the forehead behind the play, didnt see the Hamill incident, if both these players are missing I would give us a slight chance, I am not confient though St Kilda are in awesome form and have just taken apart a WIDE and INDIRECT Richmond, I actually reakon Richmond have a worse game plan than our's if that is possible.

If ever we are going to beat St Kilda with their current squad this has to be it. Why?

- five days recovery only (I know we are travelling back from WA but it is still an advantage)
- its at AAMI and will be at night (slightly dewey and possibly windy - they have played in the environmentally sterile Telstra Dome for the past 3 weeks)
- Hamill (key forward) and Baker (main tagger) are not likely to be playing
- its our last chance to resurrect our season

Yes, they are a good side but the more you lose the more likely to win and vice versa.

St Kilda have been up for a long time and with still a fair bit of youth in the team [albeit excellent youth], they could be vulnerable.

Its just that the Crows dont inspire me with much confidence atm.

I'll tip the saints at this stage :(

Nice try Kirky...all commendable points, it's just I've actually watched us play (or try to play) football the past few weeks.

We'll need more than just a solid effort to beat the Saints next week. Honestly, there's very little chance we'll turn things around in 6 days and play the sort of football we'll need to unseat the Saints.

Well id like to to think the skills will improve next week playing in the comfort of home even if its against the top side in the saints...imo are the 3rd best atm not the best.

I'll tip the crows to win by about 20 points but for that to happen forward delivery needs to be sharp and concise.

Heres are my changes:

IN <-- Torney, Hart (if he can be please be fit Ben!!) if not Perrie, Bode

OUT --> Goodwin (abductor), Biglands (4 weeks suspension) Welsh (deserves to be shot)
