good call. nothing like a lawnmower after a hard night.

Shame these kids are so pumped on drugs that it wouldn't phase them.

Doofers couldn't give a stuff about manners and decency. They think the rest of us enjoy listening to "Doof doof doof doof" at all hours of the morning.

The thing that annoys me is that these kind of ppl only stay for the 6 month lease and move on. So they couldn't care less who they are annoying.

Call the cops or at least ask them to turn it down. Also ask for an invite. The times I have thrown party's the first thing I do is invite the neighbours. I know they wont come but at least it's warning them.

Re: Police not coming - turning up late

In the paper there was this story where one guy called the police when someone was trying to break into his house. The police said they would be there when they could.

40 minutes later, no police ... so he called again. This time he said that he'd shot the guys trying to break into his house. The police were there within 5 minutes.
:D

we dont have parties at our house but next door sometimes has them and we've never whinged about it cos they dont have them often maybe a couple a year.
ANYWAY my brother recently turned 21 and had a party, no guesses as to who was straight on the phone to the cops whinging that we were too loud

some people....
and next time they have a party im going to ring the coppers just to spite them and get them back for trying to wreck my brothers party, the pricks!

Hmm, seems like i am lucky to have been friendly with our party neighbours like with that example i gave in the previous page. I guess tis a case with being friends with who you can.

Used to live above a shop and next door was a restaurant. Not much noise until about 11pm when they would crank their bongo-heavy tunes to clean up to. Had to ring them several times to get them to turn it down. They didn't seem to grasp the concept that the music would travel through a shared wall.

Same area, another mob had a massive party on a Tuesday night which was nice. I wrote a letter to the Melbourne Times bagging the sh*t out of them and it got printed *chuckle*

We've got these neighbours who have parties about every 4-5 weeks. Real loud parties that go late into the night. Normally this wouldn't bother me, as they play my kind of music. Problem is, there are two 2yr old children in my household, and 3 other homes directly next to our neighbours have children under 3yrs of age.

Could someone give me advice on how to put a stop to this? Can the local council enforce some kind of restrictions against inconsiderate neighbours?

Councils can send a ranger out (or council security, or whatever you may have) to check out the noise levels and lean on them.

But the best approach involves two little words: FUSE BOX....
