PART II

WEEK SIX

With just over a year to the day since the exalted Raiders' owner Al Davis passed away which happened to co-incide on the same weekend of the Raiders road trip to Houston which had a deep profound impact on the Raiders organisation with an upset 25-20 victory to console themselves to honour their fallen commander. Apparently the one year anniversary didn't register with 93% of the 3XKO survivors including Chism who got onboard the Atlanta Falcons who were one of the last two remaining undefeated teams, ironically, the other team was the Houston Texans.

And it didn't take long for the 'Al Davis pneuma' to have an instant effect with the much highly touted early MVP candidate, Matt Ryan, throwing an interception on the game's opening drive. But that turnover didn't exactly endure grief as the Raiders coughed up a fumble on the proceeding possession courtesy of RB Darren McFadden who wouldn't have felt too terribly bad afterall as the Falcons kicker Matt Bryant missed a 43 yard attempt. The Falcons third possession in the first quarter ended with a second Matt Ryan interception at the Raiders 2 by Michael Huff. The Raiders seemed to be inspired and it was a 52 yard FG from the Al Davis first round pick of 2000, Sebastian Jankowski, who opened up the scoring on the Raiders ensuing drive.

The Falcons fourth drive of the game allowed the 3XKO survivors to smile following a Touchdown pass play to the reliable Roddy White to put the Falcons ahead 7-3. The Raiders were clearly on a mission to replicate last season's upset result in honour of Al by moving the chains and after five first downs during their next drive, getting the ball to the Falcons 1 but a sturdy Falcons D forced Jankowski back on the field to slot his second FG of the game to pull the Raiders within a point.

The wasted opportunity wasn't lost on the Raiders D however, as they responded immediately with a SACK and another INTERCEPTION of Matt Ryan as the Raiders S Tyvon Branch returned the Falcons third turnover of the first half to the Atlanta 28. A couple plays later, TOUCHDOWN RAAAAAAAIDERS!! as the six foot receiver from Tennessee, Denarius Moore, made light work of an easy 25 yard score (botched coverage by the Falcons would of annoyed the 27 survivors for sure) as the Raiders took a 13-7 HT lead into the lockerooms.

It was a high intensive defensive slug in the third quarter as the Falcons could only manage a couple FG's to tie the scores 13 apiece following a sack fumble by Raider QB Carson Palmer outside the Falcons Redzone that required the Raiders D to jam RB Snelling on a goal-line stand. Fast fwd midway into the last quarter with scores still tied at 13 with 27 nervous 3XKO survivors feeling the pinch as the Raiders are driving into Falcons territory, 1st & 10 at the 30. The savvy journeyman veteran CB, Asante Samuel, jumps the route to pluck the interception at the 21 and stream upfield unabated for a 79 yard PICK SIX!!

But the Raiders were not quite done yet with 2:40 left on the clock with three time outs up their sleeve. Carson Palmer was ready and the Raiders responded with such impulsive urgency to be get to the falcons 5 on the back of Palmers arm going 5/6 for 83 yards in 2 minutes flat. Hand-off to Darren McFadden from the backfield to burst thru left tackle TOUCHDOWN RAAAAAIDERS!!! We have ball game to finish kids!! 20-20 Fasten your seatbelts. With 44 seconds remaining.. 27 nervous 3XKO survivors of the remaining 29 looking on. Can the Al Davis pneuma STRIKE again?

TO BE CONTINUED.....

Careful what you wish for DB as Raskolnikov stunned a previous ND champ early in last season's campaign. Perhaps you want to avenge the Falcons loss to the Bengals today? :p
Not at all, under the tutelage of Mike Smith, for Atlanta, a 1-3 campaign would be a success....

Ahhhh Rasky ....shocked he is not playing again this year?

Always in high spirits - a true gentleman of the game.

Not really.. he said his piece and recoiled. End of story.

Always in high spirits - a true gentleman of the game.

It's the dawn of a new season. Tomatosauceling is an inspiration when you consider it's a tactical battle in the prudent AE on any given Monday morning.
Rasky has seemingly rolled up his sleeves, spat in his hands and rubbed them handily as there is some AE Pipe Dream to break open and have the flow of titles and moola funnelling in a new direction. It's all about Rusty Rasky Paydirt.

if I get my 80 CAP by Monday morning. I'm closing the registrations and moving on to getting the NEXT DUEL schedule/ divisions prepared for 23rd/24th August release.

Another ND Preview OR Launch Party at the VicBowl? August 24th is the date to get down to Moorabbin Oval to see the Buccaneers avenge their double OT loss last year. Opponent still TBD. Will find out in just over a weeks time.

Good place to catch up with AE folk and get the inside scoop on your schedule before being launched online i'd say ;)

? There's shit places remaining in the AE?

Too many Steeler fans willing to condemn Flacco still o_O ... considering he has led two last Q/ drives = wins @ Heinz.. plus has a SB MVP + can perform vs the Niners.. something the Steelers FAILED to do.. as much it pains me to admit.

Anyways.. we now have the unassuming NAKED DEAD GUY returning for his seventh AE campaign as #76 meaning..

Just wanted to point out a rule for the new TEMPTATION competition.

3. Highest accumulating total of scores by each of your remaining 'alive' teams irrespective of whether you sent them in Week 17 or not

I think this is a mistake. All points should accumulate from the season. Not just those who remain 'alive'. Others may disagree with me, just my 2 cents.

I may as well throw a Hail Mary in week one or two and leave it untouched for the remainder of the season. That tactic may leave looking like
Ravens-Redskins-Footb_Rasm.jpg

though.

Based on AFTER the TIE BREAKER... is where you've extracted that #3 where I make this clear.. Prize monies will be determined accordingly but the 'Accreditation' goes on what you have left on the table. i.e.: Picking teams that have better seasons on W-L-T record as #1, if that's a tie.. Division champs you selected as #2. #3 is the TEAM score accumulation of your Week 17 teams in that last week.

Doubt you read/ understood that correctly Tomatosauceling. ;)

TIE BREAKER AFTER WEEK 17:
If any two or more Temptation players are LEVEL on points with the same amount of TOPLIST teams the following Prize Money is split accordingly:
Two players: 60/40
Three players: 50/25/25
Four Players: 55 /15/15/15
Five players: 60 / 4 x 10

Criteria to determine the inaugural TEMPTATION CHAMPION:
1. Highest total of accumulating wins by the remaining 'alive' NFL teams who have served you
2. Most division champions selected
3. Highest accumulating total of scores by each of your remaining 'alive' teams irrespective of whether you sent them in Week 17 or not
4. Highest accumulating total of scores by the opposition of each of your remaining 'alive' teams irrespective of whether you sent them in Week 17 or not

The tactic is low quality?
Yeah, agree.

(Could've at least have used a high def photo. Look at the pixilation on his butt!)

I agree... would be neat to meet n' greet... infact yesterday... be like mike crossed paths with me on the MCG.. I'll make every effort to be there for first game and stay as long as I can for Buccaneers Final as I have to be in the city by 5pm. Games last 2-3 hours.

Thanks for that explanation Woodson

Good suggestion, I'll mock up some badges for various AE comps won.
Let me guess, Chief doesn't want to reward me with anything? :(

Yup.. AE13 clock ticking to the deadline as the race for the TWO final preliminary spots to make it 80... 2007 inaugural AE champ, Sodapop, confirming he'll be 'wide open' for time tomorrow to get his subs in. Rookie Red Rifle & Maddenblokes' Applaps to wrestle for #80 possibly. Then it's whether Tannehill17 (post #16) can finally step up to make it 82 so either Applaps or Red Rifle can participate. That means re-jigging of the ND schedule matrix model.. o_O <<< GG will be expecting some re-shuffling of what I have in mind.

As for Chief/badges....gave him a week to respond to PM, he didn't. Bumped it. He said he didnt miss it, just didnt have time. I said ok. He then was prepared, asking me for info on badges, downloading the badges, etc. Then....he got sidetracked by the chad and dirty bird thing, and he's forgotten about it again. Good one, guys :thumbsu:

But i appreciate that Chief is incredibly busy, by a massive amount of things real world and internet, so i am not agitated at all. I have much gratefulness.

Woodson

When you get the final list of all AE13 participants, could you please PM me the list of people, the correct spelling of their usernames, so i can also hit Chief up for those AE13 badges. And then Chief is gonna really love me a couple weeks later when I ask him for the HOF badges too

Just quietly, im thinking more HOFers this year ;)

If Chief has told you once, he's told you a thousand times. STOP BRINGING IT UP.
