Because they are playing the Raiders.

The Raiders scored touchdowns at Mile High. Not easy ones either. They had to drive the whole field.

Gave SF 3 points.

I see many went higher but some went the Rams.

I'm to the point where I'm just keeping an eye on those ahead of me.

Coming for you ChockNurris :p

It's only Week 4, are we at that point already?

SF 1, meh. They finally showed up on the offensive side of the ball.

I hate this 9 home teams theory GG

Week 1: 9 teams won (I picked 11 home teams, got 7 correct - score 100+
Week 2: 12 teams won (I went 12, got 10 correct - score 100+)
Week 3: 11 teams won (I went 7, got 5 correct - score 60ish, drop 30+ places)
Week 4: I so far have 6 home teams. I really don't want to change for the sake of the theory but god damn it has a point!

I've got 8 home this week, one of the away teams has already played and of the remaining 6, I couldn't pick against 5 and the 6th is in London

Bucketss

for a 16CR week (no byes)...
most of the season it'll be 9-7 exactly
most of the rest will be 10-6 or 11-5
then literally 1 or 2 weeks will be 8-8
another week or two 12-4 or 7-9

in short weeks, it's similar (8-7, 8-6) for the 15 or 14 CR weeks.

Woodson and fellow AE'ers....

I have an idea for another new comp next year

It's entirely based on picking the Overs/Unders of games. I'm still thinking it thru, but what I have so far is....

Like how Temptation lines are listed every Tuesday, JD pulls the O/U on each game, which are listed alongside a column displaying every game that week, which are listed alongside two clickable columns "Over" and "Under"

You can only choose ONE game to select from the 16 games that week, making your choice of either Over or Under.

Regardless of whether you get the tip right or wrong, you cannot choose a game featuring either of those two teams again for the rest of the season.

There are only 16 weeks therefore that the comp runs for.

The winner of the comp is the person with the most correct selections.

Or

The winner of the comp is the person with the most points earned if we make picking Unders worth 2 pts, and picking Overs worth 1 pt.

Woodson can also perhaps add some bonus or scoring twist (as long as it's not too much given the format of this idea, like a bonus 1 pt for something).

Do you realise it would be impossible to plan the matchups so that you only chose every team once for the whole season.

How so?
You've got the full NFL schedule, and you can also play it by ear.
Also, it would be just like how the site currently locks you out of incorrect toplist teams, or 3xko ineligibles, so you'd see as you go along week to week.
I'll create an image of what it might look like....

This could be week 6, say....

On further consideration, you're probably right that it would get 'impossible'.

Like I said, this is the idea I have "so far" and am still thinking about it, so we can refine it.

What happens in the last 4 or so weeks and you have 8 teams to use, none of which playing each other. You're ****ed.

Anyway, go through this season and see if you can pick a match every week so that every team is only used once.

edit: missed your edit.

I looked at that but since TEMPTATION is all about how you manage your TOPlist teams which is a challenge already, I added the 27+ option instead. I think it works better when you want that team to win for a bonus point. Unders/overs is sitting on the fence without really being tempted to have a skill in the result. High scoring teams will score OVERS naturally, two low scoring teams won't get past the line. Not much of an option comp really.

It is never this easy or you could be able to make mega $$$$ betting on it.

The lines are adjusted to suit individual teams for this exact reason and no lines are ever the same from week to week for each team etc, me and you both know how right the bookies get the lines and they are always around the mark.

I just reckon it's a good idea for a comp, and just needs some tweaking and more twists added to it, (seeking feedback/ideas), and it could be great. Just like my initial idea of Temptation...woodson added some tweaks and twists, and look how awesome it turned out.

For instance, perhaps instead, it can be....

"regardless of whether you get the pick right or wrong, you can't pick the same team again in the home or away slot"

eg, week 1 you tip OVERS on patriots @ jets, so in future you can't pick a game that involves jets at home or patriots away.

Doesn't sound that fun tbh a whole comp just picking one over/under per week.

May work if you incorporate it into another scoring option for Temptation.

Back to the drawing board!

We'll look at it in the off-season.. thought Smith's response was GOLD!! :D

The ratio statistics will say plenty at the end of the season.
