The reason for the fall away was bullshit though
I mean there's probably a bit of that though, young team comes in at HT belting one of the flag faves.

Coaching, and the opposition lifting are the biggest reasons.

"in an amateur competition".
How is that different to young draftees playing against men in the SANFL which is who most of our players are. In case you haven't noticed, we are still rebuilding and Glenelg probably lifted their intensity in the 2nd half as they are a very good side and the young players are struggling.

I lost a game of basketball to an under 8s team earlier, but I feel pretty good about it because they had heaps more experience at that level.

Not one player has knocked the door down for next week.

Strachan won a lot of taps, a lot directly to Bays players
Parnell clearly our best early, getting closer to AFL
Fogarty awful even in the first half
Hately plenty of nothing disposals
Schoenberg kicking still shit
Thilthorpe after a good 1st quarter gone missing'
McAsey poor poor game
Worrell some good some bad
Milera a mile off it
Ben Davis absolute crap
Pedlar still getting limited midfield opportunities
Hamill some good, mostly ordinary
Newchurch again handy but is he ready for AFL? Doubt it.
Nankervis untidy by foot, shown glimpses
Murray probably our best defender but untidy by foot
Soligo hasn't been too bad but not good enough to get an upgrade
Borlase some good some bad

You picked out a first year player in Soligo.

So yeah, knee jerk indeed

I said his kicking was bad in this game. It was bad. What do you think knee jerk means?

The comment that followed up was about our drafting habits.

Won the last quarter but that 3rd will haunt them for a long time.

You said it's bad, that's it.

Apologies if I misconstrued

You make no sense but keep posting rubbish while you are at it. It's like you don't even know Glenelg are overwhelming favourite to win the premiership this year.

Parnell is a beauty.

Anyone else worried Milera will plod the rest of his contract out in the SANFL? I know he’s building after two years out but he’s showing very little zip or AFL-level class.

I still want Worrell to head forward, has great pace.

No drama- he'd just turned the ball over twice in a minute when I posted.

I don't tend to get too heavily into young players, unless they're clearly not up to it. Havent formed that view on him yet.

The under 8 team is very highly regarded.

I THINK he'll end up like a lot of our mids. Hard triers but maybe lacks a touch of class.

More bullish on Taylor TBH

Will be forgotten by the first beer tonight.

We treat our Reserves games like training drills.

I am not saying that is a good thing, quite the opposite. We had a chance to put the foot down and for "reasons" rolled over for a quarter.

To then put in a decent last quarter.

Just once I want to see us bury a good SANFL team. With minimal injuries and a strong team that should have been today.

What kinda coach does absolutely nothing when the opposition team kicks 10 in a row? After 5 in a row did Godden try anything??

He is not the man to be developing our future. He's a bust more than any player, hell we sacked him then came back 4 months later.

If you could go back in time and tell the AFC to pick Serong instead of McAsey, I absolutely would, hell I'd go back to 2017 GF week with a video of the Grandfinal and lowlights of the next few years to show them the utter disaster the next 4 years would be.

Godden needs to go..

that third quarter was lost in the coaches box.. Just WTF was he doing?..

I didnt see him change one single thing in that quarter.. didnt send thilly or fog back to plug the hole. no structural changes whatsoever. nothing. the tigers forward line that entire quarter was a paddock of open space that allowed the tigers players all the freedom they needed..

clearly he just sat there and watched on like a stunned mullet as the opposition piled on 10 goals and made his team look like witches hats. embarrassing. that was one of the single worst quarters of football I think I’ve ever watched.

how the hell are our youth meant to learn under a clearly shithouse coach?. we sacked the flog because he was utterly incompetent at AFL level as a coach.. only to then, a couple of weeks later, give him the keys to drive our youth!.

They would have still done the CM after 2017 and Serong would have left us after 2 years being drafted.

If I had to guess, I'd say the instructions to Godden are to let these kids try and change things on field, which they couldn't do.

Won the last quarter.

We are developing them to play their position for the AFL, hence he did nothing.
