The Fox commentary team are such bloody amateurs, you’d mistake them for BigFooty posters with the drivel they were speaking.

Apparently because the Eagles were down to 2 on the bench, the Pies won. Then when a player genuinely got injured (and didn’t return) in the vicinity of the play and the ump stopped the game, they justified Collingwood getting the next goal because of that like it was some sort of ‘tactic’.

Plenty of positives for the Eagles despite the blow-out.

43 from Sheed, 33 and 13 marks from Duggan, 29 and 9 clearances from Kelly, 26 and 7 clearances from Yeo and another 3 goals from Allen.

That’ll probably be the best they’ll do this year.

I was impressed today, but they’d have won at least 6-7 games if they’d played the other 16 sides in the comp today.

Ryan,Cripps and Darling would have made it interesting.You can only play who you have available but we are playing midfielders as forwards and it's not easy to play a position you are not accustomed to.

Doubt it. They didn't kick a goal in two of the 4 quarters. One good quarter of football won't win too many games of footy against any opposition.

It’s because they were playing the top team in the comp.

Like I said, watching the form of their experienced players, they would’ve beaten a handful of other AFL sides.
