Nah, it was the Dogs that had the bad timing match.
Demons will be drained after an awesome effort that fell just short.

Hawks by 6 goals.
Demons players will be playing for their careers and some of their stars will be playing for their stock value. They will have a clean out before the new coach arrives and they will lose a couple of big names. Who is going to make one final impression? I expect Melbourne to be very competitive in the next two weeks like they were in the Dogs game.

Hawthorn played Thursday night. Melbourne played Sunday in a game didnt finish til 6 pm.

And now they will play this Saturday. Extra 3 day break for the AFL's lovechild. The AFL made this fixture not long ago too, so there was no excuse. They really want Hawthorn in the finals dont they? Such a corrupt organization.

Motivational factors are not accurate predictors of results. Quality of play is the number 1 factor.

Hawks are in their best for of the year over the last two weeks. They are up and running, finally, after a somewhat mediocre 2025 so far. Now they are bringing their hokball style and I don't think the Demons have the class to match it with them...

Yeah that will be why the Demons lose, should they lose.

We had a 5 day break against GCS, in Darwin, where it was 28c at night. After a 6 day break the week before.

Should win but Melbourne arent as bad as their ladder position suggests. If we don't turn up and they do I can see it being close.

In saying that though we played terribly against them the first time this year and we still ended up putting by a five goal victory so who knows

It’s not impossible for us to win but it’s unlikely. We are good enough to make this close.
Feel like the best way the Demons win is like the Dogs game. The big thing is tho, Hawthorns defense is one of the best if not the best in the league, especially against transition. The ability to counter attack aswell, means if it doesn’t come off one way (for the Dees) it’ll be a score the other way.

Could be close early but I’d say it’ll push out later on.

I don't believe that to be correct and you blew Melbourne off the park in the last quarter. I'd say you were ok in the first 3 quarters and dominate in the last.

Hawks should win this one quite easily. Whilst we played well last week against the Dogs, I kind of feel as though the Dogs have an atrocious defence and all team defence, so it allowed us to kick a high score on them. Hawthorn have a far better defence than the Dogs and will be more equipped to compete in finals.

At times Dees sliced through Doggies defence like a hot knife through butter. Our defence will need to be better than that.
