FTA-TV AFL 360; thoughts?

Does anyone else think this is the best footy show going around? I must admit when I first heard of this show I thought it was going to be pretty ordinary, much worse than AFL Insider. Much to my surprise, it’s better than Insider, both of which were introduced at the same time, and it’s actually become probably my favourite footy show, across all channels. They discuss good issues and they discuss them honestly; I like David King and Mark McClure, even Whateley and Robertson, very contrasting styles, mesh well.

Great show.

I think I'd still give the crown to OTC, even in its Roosified state, but 360 is probably the most entertaining.

I thought that Laidley did quite well as a replacement for King tonight as well... even if he really should be in Adelaide...

I love every second of it. Robbo and Gerard are really funny together. There is good analysis by King and Maclure. Gerard is very intelligant and makes sense every time he opens his mouth.

Best moments was when Robbo did a match review panel finding on the killing of Osama, and when Maclure threw his pen at Robbo when he was off camera.

I find it funny when the cameramen laugh in the background as well.

I like it as well, On the Couch, AFL 360, After the Bounce and the Footy Show for me, with AFL Teams sometimes

The funniest thing that happened on 360 this year was Gerard explaining the MRP to Robbo... he put an Apple on the desk and then an orange... Robbo had a hissy fit and threw both off the desk.

Gerard Whetley annoys me bit on 360, I like him as a commentator alot just not as an analyst.

I think Whateley's value, though, is that his analysis is so forensic and unemotional. He and Robbo probably represent the extremes of most debates and even when they agree it is often for different reasons. Makes OTC look a little too stagey and unscientific for mine. Unique football show.

That said, I would agree that Whateley needs to be careful not to become a caricature of himself as Bruuuuuce has so willingly (and unfortunately) become.

I agree it's the best footy show on TV. Love the way the pig headed McClure and Robbo mesh with well thought out Whateley and King.

Really thought it was a crap idea when it was first announced. Admittedly I didn't fully understand the concept. Very good show now.

Whetley and Robinson have dragged this show to it's knee's with their coverage of the Essendon saga. Bias and predigest from both. Robinson is nothing short of buffoon and Whetley went from being a impartial ABC commentator to a Journo for sale. What was a good show is now a show with little or no cred.

the show really needs a wider variety of panellists. getting the same 8 people on every week gets a bit tiring after a while...
