You had to cancel your current seats and put your name on the pre-sale list I gather? Or she managed to organise you to be swapped over to Essential?

What sections/areas do you have in mind that you would like to change to?
There's a few groups of seats around..
Think its 330 for a family.I looked into Vic membership, but with only 5 games a season it seemed really, really expensive...
Saw him at hanging rock this year. Was freaking amazingWaited 20 years to see him this year up in Brisbane, and now he's coming back, and to Adelaide!!
He was friggin awesome though, so I'll go again![]()
A couple years ago the cost of the membership was less than buying GA tickets on match day. But we had more Vic games back then.I looked into Vic membership, but with only 5 games a season it seemed really, really expensive...
yes they do, but you get to see 50% of the play more clearly, extra $20 a game is worth it..especially since the afl will schedule us blockbuster games at home to with the redevelopment..
...If i am going to pay $495 for a gold top tier seat (ground level seats all gone) where u see ants running around...might as well pay $695 to have the best seat in the house
Whoops, made a blue and paid my deposit first before trying to switch seats. They won't let me do it now since where I wanted to move to will have a single seat left in the row and they are trying to avoid that. Have to wait until 19th Sep when the second round of seats go up apparentely.
Both the MCG and Etihad have handrails. This makes sitting in row A a bit annoying as you are constantly bobbing your head to follow the play. Not saying Glass is better, but either way, an upper level row A anywhere will have its compromises.I couldn't remember either, and I've sat in those seats at both stadiums so if I don't remember it can't have been too bad.
A quick google images search shows they have concrete to a certain level then a black hand rail type fence above that.
Obviously they need something above eye level because of the drunk person who will stand on their seat after a goal, or a child leaning over from their parents lap, and maybe glass is better than a rail for the person who is the exact height whose eyes align with the rail, but something annoys me about the idea of watching live football through a glass window. Especially if their is glare from the sun or lights at night.. Or scuff marks from feet or vandals.. I'd just get so distracted haha.
looking more and more impressive ever time i see it

I sat in row B level 3 at Etihad yesterday and the vision was mostly unobstructed. Only when the ball was on the closet boundary was I looking through the handrail.Ive selected Row B, hopefully my eye level is over the top of the glass perspex

If I was back a few rows and had the choice of glass obstructing the closest boundary or glass I would probably choose glass. I probably wouldn't choose row 1 anyway but wouldn't mind trying it, as long as it doesn't feel like your at an ice hockey match or something. I am sure the people who are sitting there will still have awesome seats and will soon get used to it.
