You had to cancel your current seats and put your name on the pre-sale list I gather? Or she managed to organise you to be swapped over to Essential?
She got my sisters family all together under my brother in laws account. Keeping monday to open seat changes.
Canceled 7 seats and put us at the right priority on the essential crows list for 50 bucks a seat.

I wonder how keen they will be next Saturday before the game to do some seat changes?

We will drop in ti the membership department early before the game and have a chat if I can not sort it out myself Monday.

What sections/areas do you have in mind that you would like to change to?
There's a few groups of seats around..

I looked into Vic membership, but with only 5 games a season it seemed really, really expensive...
Think its 330 for a family.

Waited 20 years to see him this year up in Brisbane, and now he's coming back, and to Adelaide!!

He was friggin awesome though, so I'll go again :D
Saw him at hanging rock this year. Was freaking amazing

A couple years ago the cost of the membership was less than buying GA tickets on match day. But we had more Vic games back then.

The free GA tickets to home games is supposed to balance out the fact we have less Vic games this year, but I haven't had the opportunity to go over to use them.

I've seen the video port have of black diamond membership which is out legends seats..looks pretty good actually..the guy was standing on the 2nd tier and I must admit you can see across the ground really well both sides..that's good value because at ground level you only really see the first 30-40m infront of you well...and hardly anything on the other side if you're in the pocket.

Sure there will be sun..but remember for cricket the sun sets at 8pm...during winter the sun will be gone by 5pm..and so 4.40 twighlight games will be perfect ..plus who doesn't want sun in the winter anyway?

Only thing is will mid tier be undercover ?

But those seats cost $695!!!!

yes they do, but you get to see 50% of the play more clearly, extra $20 a game is worth it..especially since the afl will schedule us blockbuster games at home to with the redevelopment..
...If i am going to pay $495 for a gold top tier seat (ground level seats all gone) where u see ants running around...might as well pay $695 to have the best seat in the house

:thumbsu: that is what I thought that the price differential makes it worthwhile (except for kids), however, i'm rather cynical about the AFL scheduling us blockbuster games (after the initial one) in prime times.

I must also say that when one looks at paying $695 , it does make one think twice about where you draw the line (unless you're wealthy).

Whoops, made a blue and paid my deposit first before trying to switch seats. They won't let me do it now since where I wanted to move to will have a single seat left in the row and they are trying to avoid that. Have to wait until 19th Sep when the second round of seats go up apparentely.

thats a bit unfair they should open it up for you again in phase 1, i think there should have been more detailed screen instructions in the pack that got emailed out....
I got timed out twice going through check out

what a shambles this season has been for the crows!

i hope we dont make the top 9 as we'll get smashed first finals week and that will demoralise us even more!

I couldn't remember either, and I've sat in those seats at both stadiums so if I don't remember it can't have been too bad.

A quick google images search shows they have concrete to a certain level then a black hand rail type fence above that.

Obviously they need something above eye level because of the drunk person who will stand on their seat after a goal, or a child leaning over from their parents lap, and maybe glass is better than a rail for the person who is the exact height whose eyes align with the rail, but something annoys me about the idea of watching live football through a glass window. Especially if their is glare from the sun or lights at night.. Or scuff marks from feet or vandals.. I'd just get so distracted haha.
Both the MCG and Etihad have handrails. This makes sitting in row A a bit annoying as you are constantly bobbing your head to follow the play. Not saying Glass is better, but either way, an upper level row A anywhere will have its compromises.

Ive selected Row B, hopefully my eye level is over the top of the glass perspex

I sat in row B level 3 at Etihad yesterday and the vision was mostly unobstructed. Only when the ball was on the closet boundary was I looking through the handrail.

If I was back a few rows and had the choice of glass obstructing the closest boundary or glass I would probably choose glass. I probably wouldn't choose row 1 anyway but wouldn't mind trying it, as long as it doesn't feel like your at an ice hockey match or something. I am sure the people who are sitting there will still have awesome seats and will soon get used to it.

I sat on the 2nd tier at the MCG for last years prelim vs Hawks..my seat was the last row at the back...i couldnt see the first 5m or so from the boundary line...there was an instance where buddy was running down the boundary line and had to look up at the screen to see what was happening...

looked at virtual venue and row A eye level is looking through the glass...row B eye level was just over the top....depends on how different the actual construction will end up to virtual venue...
