I very much doubt we will see a Belconnen team in the divisions next year , I hope I’m wrong though .

I agree mate. What about Eastlake aswell? Surely them and Belco to stay alive have to drop down to 4s? But then that leaves 12 in 4s and 8 in 3s. I know it is uneven but surely AFL Canberra should see that having 8 competitive sides in 1 and 2 extra to be competitive in 4s would be better for everyone. And it’s not like Belconnen and Eastlake are dropping down to win a comp or dominate.. it’s predominately to help save the lower grade growth of those clubs but also increase tighter competitions.

Queanbeyan coming into threes next year will cause some sort of reshuffle I’m thinking [emoji848]. Even more so if as u suggest Belconnen and east lake happen to drop down to fours .

Dare say nothing happens much with those alignments anyway. They would just be on paper so that the AFL Canberra are happy.
I know a few years back QBN reserves were short and some of the Cats players filled in for 1 or 2 games. Also that was the same year that one of their first grade players played a few games with his friends at the cats.

I know I said there is no need for Yass to go up but after yesterday's result maybe they are to good for 4s haha

Half way through the year and fair to say couple of surprises. Wasn’t expecting jugs to be top with just one loss. Thought Yass would be strong but not the domination they have shown. Adfa 4s seem to struggle early but a bit of a resurgence. Bay look to have improved immensely this year. Woden ANU still top 6 Ainslie most dangerous team on their day. As are coota especially at home. Any thoughts

Bay probably favourites in 3s from what I've seen, but top 6 in the 3s is pretty tight, and Googong/Coota certainly aren't far off it either.

Reckon Belco/Eastlake will be ok in 3s if they tough it out too, it takes a bit of time. Googong didn't win a game for a couple of years in 3 but are becoming competitive again now...

Hard to see anyone getting near Yass in 4s.

Dont know what has happened to the cats. They were my fancy for the flag at the beginning of the year. The team they put out on the weekend looked like they were missing a few players from previous weeks. Hopefully they can pull it together for the back end of the season.

Im like many on here I cant see too much changing in the top 6 from each division. I wonder if Woden can pull of the double ?

What’s going on at Eastlake in the 3s? Another forfeit on the weekend. Surely they are close to calling it quits.

Is the rule still in place that if you forfeit 4 times your out .? Was talking to a bloke today who reckons that Eastlake and Belconnen will be dropping down to fours next year .

I just hope all teams get what they want...across the whole of AFL Canberra. I can see whatever a club sees as an issue, is obviously someone else’s fault as a pattern in this league.

I look forward to seeing players one week training Div 1/2...pressing for Senior selection to miss out, and end up playing Div 4 against Molonglo!
I think that’s why Belco and eastlakes will want to stay in 3’s so it’s easier to transition players between the grades both with skill level and with AFL Canberra

Is the issue with Belconnen and Eastlake that their teams are short on numbers or that they do not have the quality of players to compete in the 3rd grade comp?
