If anyone knows of someone at Harman please tell them to submit the results from the weekend in Sporting Pulse or through Russell at AFL Canberra. Very slack.

Does anyone actually know the results of the Harman games?

Whats the go with the minor and major finals it seems if you finish 3rd and 4th you play saturday thus giving the winner of that game the extra day .If you finish 1st or 2nd you play sunday the loser backing up the following saturday is it just me or does this seem a little odd???

You told us all that ADFA beat Harman by a couple of goals, so just the Div 4 result to come which has little impact on the final four. Why the urgency?

And better late than never - on discussions relating to the Mulrooney Medal night my preference would be for the Div 3 and 4 to have their own vote count as per GF's suggestion, but perhaps the winners of B and F, and goal kicking should be invited to attend the MM and be recognised for their achievement similar to the format in 2007. That way the respective club only has to kick in for 2 or 3 tickets rather than a whole table. Or, perhaps part of the individual award could be a free ticket to the MM night?

Out of interest, how many CD clubs had tables at last years MM night?

I just heard on the grapevine that ADFA had won by 2 goals but need to get some sort of confirmation. It seems to be both Harman and ADFA that take a long time to get the results up on Sporting Pulse for all to view. It's not that hard surely.

I think the consensis has been to have a seperate night for MM that has AFL District 3 & 4 divisions along with the ACTWAFL competition to ensure we get our money worth. The cost of a table for District clubs in the past has been too expensive. Maybe David can confirm the table costs for us to discuss freely on this forum. I do know that in the past Murrumbidgee haven't submitted a full table due to the cost. We don't make much money each year like the premier division clubs unfortunately.

GF
Unfortunately yes we are. If I can I will only be playing one half. The least amount of time possible on that terrible ground the better.

....looked a little closer at sportingpulse and noticed "rag writer" was listed. Is this the embarrassed icon?

Don't be too hard on yourself, nvrwaz, that looks to be another Sportingpulse error.

Speaking of Sportingpulse errors, and I'm no mathematician, but by my crude calculations the Div 3 ladder, as it currently appears on Sportingpulse, might be a bit out of whack. I'm not so sure the Jets and ADFA's percentages have been adjusted properly after the forfeits. You'd better get busy with your calculators lads!!;)

Ooooh, only one half for the great FF?!?! Some would say you're being the slightest bit precious there, BH ;)

Some might say that Heywood but i've seen to many guys go down with injuries on that bloody ground this year and I'm not about to miss the finals due to the incompetence of the sports ground people. No point staying on there if we are 10 goals up at half time.

HJ, Your correct the percentages are all wrong on sporting pulse. I have done some calcs and they are way off without even doing the round 14 forfeit. Will confirm with AFLC about the rules but I'm pretty sure that the team that forfeits gets the average of For's for the weekend put on their against figure and the team that got the 4 pts would have the average FOR added to their FOR figure. This has not happened.

Heywood - dont take offence but do you mind if I only play a half at Amaroo this weekend due to running uphill from either end. I might get puffed!

My calcs have the jets with a better percentage than adfa at this stage which keeps them in second possie. Makes the jets v hogs and adfa v anu games this week very interesting indeed! Go the CDs comp!!!

OK here are some early figures that would change it all down the line.

After the Tuggers forfeit to Harman in Round 5 - Harman should have a percentage of 185.30% after round 5 not 156.28.

After ADFA forfeit to Gungahlin in Round 6 - Gungahlin should have a percentage of 153.71% not 126.10%. ADFA should have a percentage after round 6 of 170.02% not 277.00%.

Big differences to their current percentages if these changes were to take effect.

Hilly, what about after Round 14 as well!

Yes I'm bored at work.

ADFA should be:
For - 1691
Against - 1154
Percentage = 146.53%

Gungahlin should be:
For - 1724
Against - 1014
Percentage = 170.02%

Ladder should be:
Belco
Jets
ADFA
Juggs

Fair call Hilly, The Cauldron is not a pleasant part of the world. But does this mean the rest of the side gets to come off at half-time too? Surely there's no favouritism shown to glamour FF's at this level? ;)

Hi all,

Have been an interested reader for quite a while, thought I would join in the fun:)

Southcab, where did you get that info on finals? I couldnt find it on Sportingpulse (although it appears they are unreliable anyway). I agree that teams 1st v 2nd be entitled to an extra day off for the loser of that game vs the winner of 3rd v 4th the following week. Also might help the losing team coach to follow up the next day with a preview of who they play the following week:thumbsu:

I think the league medal night should be seperate with 1s/2s/u18s on a seperate night to the 3s/4s/womens too. With the leagues having finals on seperate weekends it means that the 3s and 4s comp will be finished by the time the league medal is presented (I am a traditionalist!!!) Someone made a good point of introducing the 3s/4s/womens B&F, goal kicking, rep team (womens all Australian) etc on the Mulrooney night for these individuals' contribution to AFL in the ACT.

Ports, didnt you say you played in the middle a few weeks ago??? it is all down hill from the centre at Amaroo mate, just walk back to the centre after a goal is scored:)

Hill (Murrumbidgee) Sims (ADFA) Griggs (Harman) Quinn (ANU) Bunyan (Belconnen) Bonacci (Gungahlin) are some of the better players from each team that will be there come B&F night.

Have finals venues been confirmed?
