Yeah i agree burton or mckay with pick 9 hopefully some how francis but highly doubt it. We don't need milera just traded in 3 of his type.

Totally agree re Milera. Been saying the same to everyone who has us selecting him. I think most don't realise that we lack tall forwards.

Not a fan to put it simply. Of all the top end mids, he's probably the slowest to make decisions, just a fraction slower than most of the others. He's smooth and he's not stupid but you can see the cogs turning sometimes. Skills moderate. Good onfield leader and presence but I think we can do better with 9 and 13. Hoping for at least one of the SA gun 3 in Francis, Milera or Burton.

I think Milera is overated and we already have enough similar players. Ideally, we take a tall with our first pick and a mid with our second. Balic may be the best mid available at that point. But would be happy with Gresham and even Mathieson.

Interesting you say that. Considering we're only taking 2 picks in I'm not sure we will take a punt with the last pick. I'd rather see a sure thing that has slid down the order, a project tall or a mature age player drafted here.

Have you watched Simmons closely at the Pioneers?

Mathieson is the better midfielder he's inside game is what the hawks need with Mitchell and Lewis not far off retirement

Hawks should take Mathieson with our first pick then try & grab Clarke with the second pick. Unless Mathieson is gone, then Hibberd would be good.

If we end up with Mckay at pick 9, then it is one piss weak draft year.
Would have been a second rounder in the last few years.

Mathieson is one player in the draft who may turn out to be much better than his draft position suggests. Like the look of him. If he slips to pick 18+ then thats a steal
