Maybe they should have chosen somebody who had seen Geelong play this year...

My favourites are:

Gary Ablett: Not his usually dominant self this year...

Tom Gillies: Emerging defender played six senior games in 2010...

James Kelly: Silky smooth defender has become the go-to man in Geelong’s backline. Just about always finds a target with his kicks and is a chance to be the club’s next captain.

Andrew Mackie: Another contender for the captaincy when Ling calls it a day.

Simon Hogan: A rock-solid back-up player for Geelong’s star midfielders...

Mathew Stokes: A vital player in the Cats’ forward line. [I really love Stokesy but 'vital' is a stretch]

I'm sad he's been cut, ruined by injury, I reckon someone else will re rookie him though.

Any news on Allwright? I would assume he and Stringer are the only other 2 in danger but you would think Stringer will get a second year, whereas I'm not sure if Allwright will get a 3rd.
