To slow across the C line, N.Brown not really a Midfielder. would swap the Porps with Nayff.

Nathan Brown with no speed? He is pretty quick. Porps and Brown switch through the game. Brown has great skill and can find the ball 25 times easily in a game and use it almost perfectly.

Plus I've got Murphy who can play up the ground and then there's Goddard and Fisher running off the back flank. Not to mention Carrazzo coming off the bench. Plenty off speed my friend, plenty of speed

Kerr Salopek and Bartel are the hard in and under ball winners. And guns at it they are.

You must rate Brown alot higher then I do my friend, I think he is a fine small forward either HFF or FP but outside of that pretty ordinary. But only My opinion.

Carrazzo aint that Quick, Murph is IMO the Quickest you got but speed aint everything, if you cant hit your targets, So their has to be a decent mix and I doubt if any of us will truely find it as we all rate players differently.
Kerr and Bartel running through the Middle is Gold, But putting Salopek in the same sentance in a little off.

Look at BS for example he has Ablett, Black, Sewell, C.Cornes, Osborne, Lockyer and McMahon.
A good mix of speed and skill.
This is a must when building a side, and if you can get a player with Both Speed and Skill aka Judd, Goodes, Cooney, Ablett, Bateman, Griffin etc then its a bonus.

You musn't of seen much port this year but Salopek averaged 25 disposals a game and 7 marks, in 15 games. Pretty good if you ask me. Was clearly one of Ports best.

Ablett Black and Sewell are gold, I agree. But no better than Kerr, Bartel and Swan.

Gun player with great skills. Racks up the possies and uses it well. Rotates through the midfield for the Tigs and dominated at times this year. One of the most skillful players in the game.

Have a look before he broke his leg. Was dominating. This year and the end of last year he is getting back to that form.

Speed isnt everything. I'd rather have a team that uses it very well than a team that can run quick. How did Essendon go using their pace in the first half of the season?

Using your example, he has Ablett, Black, Sewell, C.Cornes, Osborne, Lockyer and McMahon.

I have Kerr, Bartel, Swan, N.G.Brown, Rioli, Salopek, R.Murphy and Goddard. A mix of skill and pace, and a mighty fine mix at that

No point arguing the rest, because we have different opinions.

But saying Swan is no Sewell? That's a bit strange. Similar players, very similar stats. Have a look at the thread on the main board. Pretty much split down the middle as to whether people would prefer Sewell or Swan.
