There was no high scoring players last night (I think). Most people would have a few players from the Lions and Saints so a lot of people (including me) are a bit dissappointed about last night.

Last night's game reminded me of the abusrdity of this competition.

I had 5 players from my Dream Team playing:

Bradshaw - only recognised forward, penny out, should rake in the points. Wrong.
Goddard - showed promising pre-season form, should be handy across half-back for 70-80 points. Wrong.
Riewoldt - champion, book him in for 110+ points. Wrong.
Power - leading Brisbane midfielder with lappin hurt, black and hadley out. should be a lazy 100 points. Wrong.
Ackland - mediocre ruckman, ill leave him out of the side, couldn't possibly play well this week. Wrong.

It just proves no matter how much thought and effort you put into picking a team, it really just comes down to luck! I would've got 200/1 odds on ackland being the highest scoring out of those guys last night, but there you have it!

How exactly does a players value depreciate or rise? What do they base it on?

I've always thought that if a player doesn't reach or surpass their weekly average their price would go down and vice-versa...

thats the risk you take when you pick talls. they have potential to have very good games and by the same token very poor ones. a guy like fevola is a prime example. he will have games when he will top 120pts and others he wont clear 50.

daniel wells was handy today. but could easily improve. he didnt have any tackles today which was disapointing.
