It makes my forward line weak.

If your bench is weakening your starting line up, then yes, it is too expensive. Remember that you get points for your forward line, not for your bench.

It doesn't look that expensive though, are you sure it isn't the other areas that are weakening your forward line?

well 2 135k bench reserves in my forward line, 96k palmer, 135k leunburger and the rest 82k.

my other positions are evenly spread.

there are to many must get underpriced forwards not to have either thompson or bradshaw on the bench.. both will be both cash cows so im gona have them share a spot in my 22

Yeah, lose Bradshaw. Unfortunately there aren't many cheap forward options. Perhaps one of Dew or Jetta on the field? Or spend more and get Hawkins/LeCras/Maric?

A symes/Smith combo will score well clear of a cornes bench combo

That makes your bench even more expensive than it was before. Lose Bradshaw all together, put Hawkins in his place, take a draftee on the bench.

Easiest way to save money:

Chop out palmer for muston or Hinkley
Chop out luenberger for Max Bailey
Chop out Jetta and Dew for 80k Bench players.

Stack of $$$ saved just there mate

All I've heard is that he is overweight, but he's lost 20-odd kg and is back near his old playing weight. Is that accurate? I really have no idea, but I wasn't considering him anyway.

Doubt he will even get a game at the dawks. A midfield boasting Crawf, Mitchell, Hodge, Lewis etc is going to be hard to crack.

If they play him on a HFF then he will score sweet FA.

Was Dew EVER a midfielder? I agree that he doesn't look likely to make the side, maybe in defense? Bit of a strange pick up if they aren't gonna play him.

But ur still going tohave 2 cash cows on your bench anyway. Even if they go up 60 - 100k each you will be upgrade to Cornes later on.
