Don't know if it has been mentioned but I'm in my second season of be a pro after playing for the Jets, I joined Brisbane second game of the season I play against North at a stadium that clearly wasn't Etihad, so I decide to check the fixture to see where the game was played... BENDIGO!! o_O

The rest of the fixture was crazy, Essendon playing Collingwood at Port Melbourne, Geelong playing home games at the Gabba, monday afternoon football, 3 games at the MCG all within in an hour of each other. Hawthorn and North Melbourne have the bye that Port and Gold Coast have this weekend for playing in China but they played a monday afternoon match at the MCG. None of the marquee matches happen in the second season either. :(
And right now I'm about to play a match against St.Kilda at Port Melbourne.
Yep same here

Started my second season as coach of freo and the fixtures a bit off (I think one team is playing home games at a vfl ground) but I've noticed that the fixture seems right in terms of game times it's just a day late or early each round (so we might start a round on Friday night but then have one Saturday game before having most games on Sunday and Monday)

I don't understand how stuff like this or the commentary name glitch can happen, surely these things are linked to the teams or players (for example port should be forced to play home games at Adelaide oval, they should be linked)

I can excuse not having each teams 'marquee' games ever year or having two games at the same ground in the same day but the home ground and times are pretty basic stuff

For anyone curious, I jumped into Pro mode using Buddy and even on Hard its too easy to dominate with him. Had 17 touches and 6 goals in one 5 minute quarter. The only key is to not sprint, but as a forward you can run into the centre square before the ruck and not get penalised for it! Cheap touches ftw

really starting to enjoy the gameplay after changing the camera angle and learning how to mark better. Also played a few games online and whilst i've been beaten each time, its still really enjoyable to play.

a patch from WW to fix up some of the key bugs (AI goal kicking, career mode simming, interchange etc etc) and it will be a pretty good initial product and one worth sticking with and building from..

Thanks for the answer.

I'm not in Australia so I can only download the game.... can't find the manual online either...

On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app
Last comment wasn't directed just to you. There is an ingame manual though.

Just a clip showing how broken the banana recognition is. First clip is me trying to banana 1m away from the boundary and torping it, second clip is the AI being able to banana from about 15m away from the boundary.

It's more your false interpretation of how the player motion of a banana kick works. Notice in the video when the Ai kicks a banana they are facing left of the goals (towards the in-field) so they can actually bend it right. Whereas you are facing left of the goals (outfield) but for some reason expecting it to somehow miraculously bend left through the goals. Lucky for your sake Tex did a torp for a behind otherwise you would have done a banana out on the full. The banana recognition is not broken you just need to recognise what a realistic banana kick entails. If you position the player realistically to match a banana kick then it works 100% of the time!

So not only do I have to be near the boundary, I also have to be facing the inside of the goals? Someone better tell Eddie Betts. Also, Tex has a left foot.

Tex has a left foot I know, that's why you had to face him inwards. If you want to be facing outwards on the boundary but score a goal it's called a snap kick. I take my hat off to WW they have created the most realistic banana kick system ever experienced on an AFL game

Is that "Bragging Rights" trophy able to be obtained in private matches? I start to kick away in public matches, people quit and I'm not awarded the win. I'll come back to it eventually regardless but it's a bit frustrating.

Edit: There's been times I've outright lost too, obviously.

What - all games are so shit they are returned within a week?

Its hilarious seeing the ****hurt being endured now by the mass of flogs around here who were quick to flame anyone who suggested that this game would be anything less than the best thing ever made. Reality hurts doesnt it?

Nope, games are constantly being cycled for trade ins for new games, normal.

I don't think this is the best thing ever made either, it has quite a few issues that need looking at and fixing..

But it's hardly as bad as people such as yourself seem to be thinking. Part of the problem is people want instant gratification and don't want to really learn the controls and concept properly, same thing happened with previous games.

A big step up on on previous games, which to be honest, you would expect to some degree. Far from perfect.

No.

Not one person claimed it would be the best thing ever made. It was hoped it would be a fun AFL game with some depth; and people are satisfied that we got exactly this.

Who would you rather be; the people enjoying their AFL video game, or you?

By the way this is nothing to do with the whole Big Ant and WW thing...Obviously we would love a new BA Football game.

It's just that i actually do enjoy Evolution and i think it's good that we have something that is new and pretty good.

Well I feel I've got my moneys worth even though the challenge is all but gone. Aiming for the harder achievements (playing through a season undefeated etc, back to back to back gf wins etc).

I was juggling a few unfinished games prior to this and also Mario Kart and most recently puyo puyo tetris. When I do grow tired of it I will still be comfortable playing every once in a while.

I enjoyed it enough to want to double dip and get it on pc, looking forward to the better frame rate (only the far away camera seems to be super smooth motion wise).

I'm aware I said this last week too.

Its a fun representation of football, its a shame its being returned (commentary and glitchy seasons aside) its still fun. I barely get called for holding/throwing the ball now. My timing is pretty good, I know where I want to take the ball as I gain possession of it. The ai can be cheap sometimes but then I'd be whinging if I won by 300 points each match.
